Ah, this was amazing! Best battle ever, in my humble opinion. They had fun, they were relaxed, no stress. It looked awesome. I'd love to see this without the dubbing and just subtitles, but I haven't had any luck, hmmm.

the reason french win is because french are mostly fine dining and romantic so they are good at fine dining dishes an chinese dish are mostly for family where you eat as a family and joy together so french will win ^^

Having a your own saucier makes for an ace in the hole. But, both teams were great, It's amazing to watch pros create dishes on their own time - something that doesn't usually happen in a resturant context.

i love how all the chef think the result is tie, also chef Chen is very humble , and chef Sakai too, i think is good they tie but i love the Chinese team more, from creativity also technique they really impress me the most , i study carving too and it's reallllllyyyyyy hard and they make it look so easy

This has got to be one of the top 2 or 3 battles on Iron Chef ever. I enjoyed this one so much because the chefs all looked like they truly enjoyed themselves and were having so much fun, and thats what cooking is all about, fun and sharing with good friends

I think there was some politics here, because in the first episode, Kaga said his absolute favourite dish up to the 2,000th was Chen's Ebi Chilli. So maybe this was in the interest of balance. I agree that the Chinese should have won though!

Honestly, Kaga had to cast a tie-breaking vote... I don't think they had a game-plan for an overtime battle for 6 chefs... how many ingredients would they use? How much time would they have since the original battle was 90 minutes... It's easier to just break the tie. :)
