Ah, this was amazing! Best battle ever, in my humble opinion. They had fun, they were relaxed, no stress. It looked awesome. I'd love to see this without the dubbing and just subtitles, but I haven't had any luck, hmmm.
me think that was Chen but accdg to one judges the french taste more matured... the creativity for me is for Chen that was great... both team is great
well, Kaga-San also said he preferred French food over Chinese food by a hair in one of his other episodes...sometimes when the food is really that good it's just personal preference.
the reason french win is because french are mostly fine dining and romantic so they are good at fine dining dishes an chinese dish are mostly for family where you eat as a family and joy together so french will win ^^
Having a your own saucier makes for an ace in the hole. But, both teams were great, It's amazing to watch pros create dishes on their own time - something that doesn't usually happen in a resturant context.
I think it would have been one sided if Rokusaburo would have come there and showed how to make food. He is king of the Iron Chefs and also Japanese food would have reigned because of the tasters :)
i love how all the chef think the result is tie, also chef Chen is very humble , and chef Sakai too, i think is good they tie but i love the Chinese team more, from creativity also technique they really impress me the most , i study carving too and it's reallllllyyyyyy hard and they make it look so easy
This has got to be one of the top 2 or 3 battles on Iron Chef ever. I enjoyed this one so much because the chefs all looked like they truly enjoyed themselves and were having so much fun, and thats what cooking is all about, fun and sharing with good friends
Don't hate on the French team. Their dishes are not tacky. Neither the Chinese team. They are more appealing (French dishes) and the chinese is too. To me, They are both winners.
I think there was some politics here, because in the first episode, Kaga said his absolute favourite dish up to the 2,000th was Chen's Ebi Chilli. So maybe this was in the interest of balance. I agree that the Chinese should have won though!
Honestly, Kaga had to cast a tie-breaking vote... I don't think they had a game-plan for an overtime battle for 6 chefs... how many ingredients would they use? How much time would they have since the original battle was 90 minutes... It's easier to just break the tie. :)
Poll: Ur fav. iron chef? why? For me its Chen. Bein a chef myself i know the importance of flame control & manipulation. Chen is a true Chinese master & besides...its always good to have a chef dats always smiling...Cheers~ :)
I wish they allowed this battle to go into overtime.

If they used the judging system where they drop the best and the worst score, the Chinese team would've won it.

Booo the Chinese should've won it. I could just imagine tasting that salt pork.. yuuum.
They should've won w/ just that presentation alone though. Looked alot better than the tacky display the French team did.

chairman is just an actor, not really no chairman, so on regular days he eats sakai's dick that is why he gave the victory to sakai
