  • Please can you

  • Hey I've played with CMOS camera's a bit. Have always started with the camera, lense and shutter already built together and then I work with it for configuring (I2C protocol) and pull uncompressed data off the sensor.

I want to get to the next step to design with a CMOS sensor, choosing a lense, shutter, etc.. Any tips or resources that you can point me towards to look into this? I mainly focus on mobile applications so I'm really just looking to mount a micro lense I suppose.. Any tips?

  • @EdisonExploratorium what a fucked answer!

  • @gissign Ha ha! you make me laugh, YouTube is free right? Am I wrong? :) So what right does anyone have to demand more content if you don't pay for product? And watch your dirty classless language or you'll get blocked and all past comments erased.

  • excellant video, finally a real explanation, thanx

  • I have a canon 5d Mark II and was wondering if anyone could explain what goes on when shooting the video and you change the "speed" on the Tv setting. It is my understanding that the everything remains open (mirror and the two curtains). But how does the speed then change when shooting the video if this is the case?

In addition, I see there are options to be able to change out the "focusing screen" on my camera. How is it different than the original?

    Thanks in advance,

    The Meltdownman

  • @meltdownman1 Changing the "speed" actually changes the exposure time of each frame in the video sequence, more time, more light goes in each frame. Yes, for video both mirror and shutter remain open. Each frame is separated electronically, not physicaly like in a film movie camera. The focusing screens differ in their markings, focusing aids (microprism/split circle, etc.), and matte type or clear.

  • Way to dumb it down.

  • good graphics, but too quick for dumb people like me! needs slowin down, but good content

  • it is very nice
