  • is that a recording of a siren, or an actual blower/chopper?

  • @briefroboboy Recording. At the time, i couldn't figure out how I could make a real chopper or install one in the siren so I just used the tape recorder. I have taken it apart so I can figure out how i'm going to install a chopper inside.

  • @FireAlarmMan458 Oh.Are you gonna make a video on the newly installed chopper?

  • @briefroboboy The chopper I will use for it isn't installed yet. i'm still trying to figure out a couple kinks in the design

  • It spins around 3 whole times every 6 seconds.

  • @Thunderbolt1000Tfan p.s. That's 1 spin every 2 seconds.

  • You have the same band saw as me!!!

  • Holy shit that's the fastest thunderbolt I've ever seen. lol. Nice job though man. I'd stick that sucker on my roof and blast it at 2 in the morning. XD

  • I woul suggest "if u can" make the rotator slower but anyways I couldn't do any better

  • what that

  • thats atchully pretty awsome...and not very bad for home made siren...not the loudest but...its pretty cool...it sounds just like those 1870 sirens they used to signal war atacks

  • You need to stick some weights on the other side to counteract the balance to stop it from shacking from side to side. Oh & no offence but ur Thunderbolt is no lounder then my home made vacuum cleaner i just finnish building.

  • Comment removed

  • Thats reallt cool, however i would suggest you slow the rotor down... and maybe a louder speaker, but i really like it! Great Job!

  • @nateyboy1156 *really*

  • Nice

  • you made a 5 minute long video of a spinning alarm.....nice...

  • @usernameABCDXYZ ...and you watched it.

  • @FireAlarmMan458 well no i actually didnt i just skipped to the end and it was the same thing

  • nice design, what kind of motor did you use? and how many volts AC/DC does it run on and how many Amps does it draw?

  • @TheDieselGene For the rotator, i used a 120VAC motor that is geared down to be slower.Idk how many amps it is.

  • its a t-bolt on crack!!!XD

  • wow that rotator is FAST! is there any way you can make it slower?

  • pretty cool man

  • that thing spins fast lol

  • you need to slow it down just a bit

  • good job i would never even get that far did you build that all by yourself

  • good job i would never even get that far

  • "God, I had too much coke I'm going nuts here!"

  • lol kid you got help with this XD

  • First of all its B series because of the offset rotator.heh heh.

  • Very nice!

  • OK. good luck

  • Not bad but the shae of the horn flutes out in a more curved shape.

  • @rnbsteenstar Does it look like I'm some kind of magic man?

  • @FireAlarmMan458 Oh, nonononono, I didn't say that you were. I was only trying to help you out.

  • @rnbsteenstar Im kiding lol. I cant bend the wood to give it the curve shape. I know that the real one has one its just that I cant bend wood to give it the curve.

  • @FireAlarmMan458 Ah, I c. But you could do it with copper.

  • @rnbsteenstar Im still working on that.

  • @FireAlarmMan458 Its not that hard....

  • and I misspelled "Aggravate"

  • Just slow it down a bit, put the compressor on there, put it on a pole, and aggravte your neighbors when there is a severe thunderstorm. (I am kidding. Don't do that. You could be arrested) But a fun idea.

  • Thats a quick rotate speed there.

Its siren for the ants! lol

  • wow ow did u make it its awsome

  • not bad.

  • thats cool how it rotates so fast

  • Dude that's freakin awesome.

  • i think it is fast but how did you make it turn it is cool i made one but it dosent turn

  • Awesome yall. How does it work?

  • Watch my other Thunderbolt videos to find out.

  • Nice work.

  • WOW, how did you make that? All by yourself or with help?

  • I made it but i had a little help with my dad.

  • Neat Job Man!...it spins abit Fast though.

  • thats spining fast. try make it to slow down :)

  • I dont have a slower motor and I wont because its fastness is its trademark :)

  • maybe take a resistor and it may slow it down. if you dont know what a resistor is type it in the goole search.

  • well all I can say ....thats just neat ,great job !!!

  • i stink at making sirens good jobs

  • Nah dont wry about it. It just takes a little practice thats all. At least that and 3 weeks of hard work.

  • thats not bad..nice job

  • How did you get it to spin?

  • Small rotator motor melded onto the cone unit.

  • lol its rotator is fast, what rpm setting

  • Around 15 RPM lol. Definatly beats the record of the worlds fastest thunderbolt lol.

  • Haha, so it has a little sound player inside it. How oddly interesting!

  • Im gonna make a choper for it soon.

  • Well, good luck... Choppers and stators are difficult for the "average Joe" adult to make--even more so for a kid. But yeah, try anyway and tell us how it went. Maybe you can use the motor from that small tape recorder (if that's what that player is--but I can't tell from the shot).

  • Take a look at some home-made siren videos. Its not actually that difficult but it takes at least a week. Not to burst your bubble or anything but i siren motor has to go fast enough to make the sound perfectly loud. And it takes about 2 seconds for the motor in the tape recorder to do a full spin so it wont work. But great suggestions!

  • You're wrong about the tape recorder motors. You thought I was talking about the reel winder in play or record mode, huh? But they go faster in FF/rew. mode. I wasn't talking about that, though. That's geared down of course! The motor alone, though, is fast.

  • yeah but not strong enough

  • Actually, for a chopper that small, you wouldn't need a very strong motor. All it would be driving is a centrfugal fan with caps on the ends of the blades (the parts that temporarily block the holes in the stators). It doesn't take much strength to drive a fan that small.

What takes a lot of "juice" is when the chopper is 2 feet wide as in the FS STH-10.

  • i`ve been struggling to make a chopper for my FS 2001 but i know how to now

  • What did you make this out of?

  • Wood.

  • FYGAFLBAYSGASAD but good job anyway.

  • WOW! You should buy a 200 watt police speaker and put that in there, it will be louder ill tell you that. Great job.

  • @crazywarriorman The only problem with that is that the cone and the housing has a weight capacity thanks the the dinky little motor thats in it. But I might put a chopper in if I can experiment with it a little.

  • lol, ok, sounds great!

  • NICE! i might get a tornado siren for christmas, and why does it spin so fast?

  • The motor that spins it is the slowest I had and its already geared down so yeah. Thats why its nickname is the worlds fastest thunderbolt!

  • Do you mean a real thunderbolt schematic or my/this peticular thunderbolt?

  • 22 rpm lol [i counted]

  • You should try and make an actual chopper, like with that chopper thing you showed us in that other video.

Quick question, when will system test 1 be done?

  • I see what choper you talking about later. And its also very complicated why so yeah. System test one and two and three I had just filmed an hour ago and as soon as this videos info. is done loading, Im gonna upload all three system tests so yeah. Actually four system tests I meant to say.

  • I had an error on my computer so today I will upload it.
