Who ever said that Dobermans are dangerous and rough is dump and has not the glims of knowledge about this bread. I have a red one with uncropped ears and tail. The greatest soul I ever met in my life. I love this dog and he makes my life so much liveable.

Dobermans don't like you to mess with their pals. My GF and I have a Doberman. She (the Doberman) gets between us at night and sort of "claims" me. At the dog park, if she is playing with another dog and a third dog tries to get in on the fun, my Dobie may get a little pissed off. It's funny. She's sweet as honey, but what's hers is hers.

my sisters got a small dog and she brings him round sometimes, my cats an indoor cat 4 in june and senses the dog before it gets to te house and hides behind the TV.. or goes upstairs away from the dog we keep them apart... the dogs has been socailised and is very friendly,, but very very overhyperative, and yesterday she was round here with the dog and the cat in my bedroom and the cat was hissing, stood up on two legs swiping at the dog. but i want to see itll put up with a calm dog

because last time we had the dog round, i picked the cat up and the had tight hold of the dog and we was alble to make them touch nose and the cat didnt panick at all ... so im kinda thinking maybe the cat owuld get on with the dog if it was better trained and mellow, like this doberman and most well train dogs seem to be quite calm.. my cat is also a british shorthair which is known to get along with all walks of life easily, including dogs and children..

The dobie I grew up with adopted a litter of kittens after the mother abandoned them. She protected those kitties from everything. Her ears weren't docked just like Hanna.

Gorgeous! How did you introduce them together? I have a dobermann puppy (8months) and we are getting a kitten in about 8 weeks. The kitten has been born into a home with a rottie and terrier so it will already be used to dogs. We're just unsure how to introduce them together.

Make sure to be patient and give time without them meeting eachother! I am serious! Go look at any reputable website and they will tell you to keep them separated for a few WEEKS. It worked for us and its a miracle! Please, introduce smells first, for like a week, and them maybe allow them to see eachother. Give it time. The patience you give in the first couple weeks will pay off in the long run, because just weeks into it you will see they will get along.

Your dobie looks just like mine and acts the same too. Mine is a male puppy but he is already big. Lots of people say that a dog cant walk in the home before you or eat before. Treat a dog like that and you get a slave. I can certainly see that your dog has been given a good amount of respect
