  • Sony Computer Entertainment of America 0:01

This game came out 1995 in America, Europe, and Japan

Namco Museum Vol 1 was also 1995 in Japan, then 1996 in America and Europe.

  • BTW. it was called Air combat in europe too

  • @ZeaMoore4 cool man. always like cool info like that

  • @jrb542 man dude thank you. i remembered the final boss battle that i played when i was only 3 years old on my PS1. i remember the entire boss battle i played and that i was able to beat the game at that age. man this brings back so many memories. i broke the game like right after beating it in excitement! i just found this game today! thank you for this man you brought back so many great memories.

  • How do you not love this game? hehe

  • i always watchd my brother play this and i just went crazy at the intro. im so nostalgi right now

  • enemy at six o'clock thank u dude u make me remember all those funny days the game now is known as ace combat yeah the best of the best just make a comparison between the icon of air combat and ace combat

  • This brings back so many memories, when I got this game I didn't have a memory card and I would just play it all the way through all the time. I am feeling so nostalgic right now. I remember the dialogue from every cut scene in this game. Thank you so much for making these videos.

  • @TheDrEngineer no prob dude, it's a true classic

  • When I was a kid, I decided to put this game into a CD player, the game's soundtrack played! I recommend everybody trying this.

  • @aDinoSupremacist I did it cause i thought you could play the game on a pc??? Instead, I got just audio; which rocked!

  • I swear at one point in the game two enemy jets collided with each other. I didn't have many PS1 games so I played the hell outta this game.

  • BINGO YYYAAAAAHHHHOOOOO! oh... i remember

  • >Make let's play

    >skip cutscenes

    Why?

  • Bingo! Woo-hoo!

  • Oh gawd, that title screen music brought me back!

  • I DONT BELIVE ACE COMBAT MAKE SUCESS WITH THIS GAME!

  • It was called Air Combat here in Norway as well! Great start to a great series of games!

  • this was one of my very first games as well. Its amazing to see some companys try so hard to create a great game for todays systems yet they come no where close when it comes to being successfull compared to a game like air combat or zelda etc.

  • When I was 7 I played the shit out of this holy hell

  • I gotta admit, graphics for a game released in 1995, it's really beautiful to look at!

  • I miss this game a lot...This was my first game for Playstation 1.

  • this game, twisted metal 1 and 3, jetmoto, and syphon filter 1 were my first ps1 games and they were all AWESOME

  • i played the shit outta this game back in the day

  • @lordshampoo yeah, i did too back in the day!

  • @jrb542 me 3 :D

  • cool story

  • the days before it was renamed ace combat.

  • @N1Legion why was it Air Combat on the First one? Ace Combat sounds way better

  • @USSWISCONSIN64 ,they changed the name because pilots are often reffered to as an ACE when they achieve a certain level of combat experience in dogfighting, it later became a series of games with a lame story. best in the series

  • why is the F22 raptor in this game, haha, the U.S stole the design of namco. epic game.

  • @N1Legion Belive it or not, the F22 is actually very very old.

  • @Hamster307 , hasnt been around that long,it was a prototype in 1990 known as the YF22, the only one of its kind, it was ordered later by the USAF and didnt enter service until mid december 2005.

  • @N1Legion Well, obviously not like OLD OLD, but most people don't know it was actually flying in the early 90's.

  • For a 1995 game, that is not bad at all

  • @TheFan630 yep, still fun to play today!

  • I wish jets have paint jobs like that.

  • @heardofrvb buy a Modal and paint one then.

  • I have a platinum version of it, complete of original box and manual. I have to say that is a very nice game.

  • @merlok1995 Wow, that's cool. I bet it's rare. Yep, great game!

  • f22 raptor 4ever

  • I WON THIS GAME BUT WITH NTHE SHITTY EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON

  • @Skybolter Wow, yeah that plane is not really a good one.

  • same here one of the first i've ever owned

  • i had this 1, crash bandicoot, twisted metal, chrono cross, ff7, and spyro god ps1 is an awesome console

  • @clayvision Good lineup!! Most went on to spawn some sequels!!

  • @jrb542 they should place s.c.a.r.s on the ps3store

  • @kingredrider1 Wow, I remember that game, but I didn't own an N64 so didn't play it much if at all; but I do remember it. I was a PS fan, my best friend had an N64. He said the PS was better so he got one.

  • pretty good for ps1

  • my first psx game! =) =) =)

  • @19BeNDeR90 Me too, along with Twisted Metal!!!

  • @jrb542 haah same here

  • Everything about this video is great except your arrogant bullshitting jrb542. Seriously, you ruined it, it annoyed me as hell.

Otherwise, thanks for putting it up it is a great collection of videos for Air Combat and brings back some childhood memories.

  • @chrizzly88 Not a problem. Thanks for the feedback.

  • This is one ancient game (1995!) and still going reasonably strong as a series. :D

  • @WonkyTonkBotty Yep, still a great game these many years later!

  • i have this game but my ps1 does not work:(

  • Strange how the AIr Combat (Ace Combat) series STARTED on the Playstation, then AC6 rolls along, and says fuck you to the starters of the series(not coming for PS3)

  • @haters123 I've seen some stuff about a PS3 based Ace Combat. They did one for the PSP, so it's only logical!!

  • The sound tracks on this game where awesome.. Some much so that back in the day I recorded the tracks from the game onto a tape and listened to them an my walkman like mad!!!

  • Its amazing how far the graphics and story line have come since Ace Combat (Air Combat) 1. In Ace Combat 3, they introduced a better storyline, in Ace Combat 4, it was unrivaled. And Ace Combat 5, I think that ones the best so far, Ace Combat Zero, Pretty good. I love the cutscenes. And Ace Combat 6, Pretty good. Really good graphics. Still, Ace Combat 5 has the best Cutscenes and storyline. Thumbs up if you agree!

  • @shadowblade145 Thumbs Up!!! Yeah, the AC series is pretty awesome. Just need 1 for the PS3!!!!

  • so many memories

  • @thedarkwolf67 yeah, for real! A Classic

  • Graphically, it may be a BIT ahead of Starfox, but it's gameplay paved the way for one of the best flight combat franchises ever!

But it may be hard for newcomers to adapt to the "For its time" basicness the game has.

  • I will never forget this game this game was the shit and always will be no matter how bad people say the graphics are

  • yeah, one of the clasic PS1 games!

  • Damn,good times.

I remember playing this as a kid.

    I still have it lol

  • did you ever do this on a emulator

  • no, i never use emulators. I'm not down on them, I just like to use the actual consoles; plus I don't have any computer screen recorders.

  • yeah for real, like $20,000 for a fighter, alright!!!

  • lol

  • When I played this game, I remember thinking "that's a hell of a lot of money" when you got paid for shooting down stuff. Made me want to become a mercenary :v

This is fantastic quality btw, thanks for the upload!

  • My uncle mistakingly bought this game thinking it was a pc game(Lol,noob) and gave it to me cause I had a playstation. It came in those old big playstation game cases. That was when the game came out.

  • woah played this as a kid! THX man!

  • it's high on list of my fav. ps1 games!

  • best game ever dude, sucks mine broke D:
