  • good to see someone put these idiots in their place

  • why dont you go up against cenk in a real argument and see who comes out in front? instead of cherry picking things and making illegitimate and misleading comments, similar to how your titles are misleading... as you dont have 4076 anti young turks videos:)

  • @bm3racer He did that.../watch?v=UceNVYoJo0g

  • you guys are morons, just cherry picking particular quotes and taking them out of context, then disabling ratings on this video because YOU KNOW EVERYONE IS GOING TO RATE YOU DOWN - BECAUSE PEOPLE DISAGREE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT AND LIES :)... why dont you grow some skin and enable ratings to see what people really think?

  • turd

  • fuck the the young turds

  • America is the ONLY developped country without universal health care. The ONLY. And yes, it is less costly to have universal health care. And yes, the standards are just as good in the other Western countries, such as Canada. Which is why Americans come north to get the healthcare they can't afford back home. Access to health care is a human right that the USA fails miserably in that regard.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles tell that to my grandparents that moved back and have them share their stories about the healthcare in Canada

  • @Jacoby515 Well one negative experience hardly speaks for the system as a whole. Look at the statistics, such as life expectancy and infant mortality rate - that will tell you a lot more about the success of a health care system that the experiences of two inviduals that you know.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles how about the cost of it? how about the time you have to wait to see a doctor? Canada's population is way smaller the the U.S. and if they have it bad rationing it there. imagine the hell it would bring here. they already made many cuts on the healthcare system in Canada because it's too damn expensive.

  • @Jacoby515 That's ridiculous. You don't have to wait in an emergency and no one loses their life because they can't access health care - something that happens all the time in the US. You might have to wait to get knee surgery for a few months in Canada, but that's because it's not life threatening. I guess that's the price you pay to ensure that ALL your citizens, regardless of their social status can have accessibility to health care. And as I said, the stats speak for themselves.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles nothing is free at all. sure we do need safety nets but there is one problem with safety nets. people get stuck in them. compare Canada's population to ours. we cant take care of everybody, it's too expensive and we will sink deeper into debt.

  • @Jacoby515 I still have to disagree. France has a population of 66 million, the UK has around 60 - although they are double the size of Canada, they still manage to provide universal health. Why is this? A larger population creates a larger tax base which means, with a larger population, you have more money to cover services for the entire population. 30M people in Canada are taxed between 15-29% (income-based) - the USA can bring in 10x this amount with 300M. It's all about priorities.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles you are right but that's too much government. our founders would of punch these idiots that are expanding the size of government. Canada and all these countries are cutting back and they want to be more like us. they simply cannot afford it. and taxing the poeple to provide this crap is an example of big government. all we need to do is regulate the high prices of healthcare and that's it. economies do better when power is in the hands of the individuals. not king obama

  • @Jacoby515 The reason your founders were afraid of big government was because they were living in a different era - the transition between feudalism and capitalism. Clearly we won't agree - you simplify the problem as "too expensive". Perhaps cutting funding of a defence system that is no longer suited nor relevant to the current international climate could free up funding to provide a basic human right to Americans. And Canada, France, UK DON'T want to be like the US, which is why they are not.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles throughout history. in ancient Rome, Greece, and Spain those empires (even tho the U.S. thrives on business and they thrived on conquest) started off as fiscally conservative and allowed less gov't entitlement. then people get the sense of nothing can happen to them and life is perfect in their great nation. result? bigger gov't to take care of those people therefore higher taxes and more debt. they eventually collapse inside out from overwelmed debt.

  • @Jacoby515 That's a terrible argument. Your conclusion doesn't follow from the "facts" you outlined. Conquest isn't comparable to capitalism - only the wealthy benefitted from conquest and the poor had completely disconnected economies. Try to think outside the box - don't be limited by "fear big government' rhetoric. Look at what WORKS in today's world. Gov't spending doesn't mean unhealthy capitalism. Why don't you study how Canada prepared for the recession - government interference in banks.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles no i wasnt comparing the ways they were growing through conquest or business. it was comparing the way they handled their economies their debt lead to collapse, bottom line. debt is the cancer and it will always will be. if i had debt and i cant pay off my own bills i will have bad credit. it isn't good for you because people know your unreliable. we been spending for 4 years and matters gotten worse, and if people can't figure it out maybe a disaster will help them

  • @Jacoby515 It's interesting you bring debt up. Look at the debt the US has managed to accumulate WITHOUT social programs. The US needs to TAX appropriately to be able to provide the health services. And reprioritise expenses. If the USA spent more money on social programs and less on defence that is no longer suitable to deal with a changing international climate, then americans would be provided with a basic human right available to all citizens of every other developed country in the world.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles social programs work on paper. in reality, people have a tendecy to get stuck in there handouts because they will be too afraid to compete for a better living. therefore job growth gets crushed and more entitlement will be ushered in. then more taxes, but there would be less taxpayers. there is just way to much people to take care of because they have no jobs and business owners will have to pay for them. which means less money for them to create jobs. its common sense

  • @Jacoby515 Well, the proof is in the pudding. Canada is doing far better economically than the USA right now, as stuck as we have become on our "handout" of a basic human right: healthcare. We have lower rates of unemployment, of homelessness, infant mortality and we live longer on average than Americans. We have had universal health care for 60 years now and it's serving us very well. It's funny that you say social programs work on paper - I'm giving talking reality and you revert to theory.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles Just curious but...speaking of Canadian healthcare, is there any truth to the Danny Williams going to the U.S for surgery story?

  • @TeHGoodReverend It's interesting how you address statistical fact by citing individual cases such as your grandparents or a single politician. My point is not about someone's preference - and Danny Williams' medical details were never released due to confidentiality, so it's a poor case to base an argument upon - but about what is best for the majority of people, a system that doesn't discrimate based on wealth. And weather or not Mr. Williams story is true, the stats I cited haven't changed.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles The purpose of the question was not to argue or to dispute anything. I asked simply because i was not sure and you seemed like a knowledgable individual. ;)

  • @TeHGoodReverend haha! I'm surprised you didn't expect me to take it that way given your timing. At any rate, it was confidential, but according to the sources I read, it was true, but as I said - we don't know exactly why he chose to go. Maclean's wrote a good article summing up the situation: www2.macleans.ca/2010/02/09/what-the-danny-williams-case-says-about-canadian-health-care/ It gives a balanced report of problems in the Canadian system and cites politics, not money, as the culprit.

  • @HappyColouredMarbles Haha given the back and forth banter I do not blame you ;). Given that Mr. Williams is a conservative politician he more than likely visited the U.S to promote his own agenda. I was simply unsure as already said of whether it was true or not.

Personally I fancy Japan's healthcare system!

    - Rev

  • @TeHGoodReverend Really? I have heard in Japan, doctors visits are only 3 minutes.

  • @JJJohnson32 /watch?v=ewO0Oiikd9g

Here is a video to give you an idea :)

  • @HappyColouredMarbles for the country your from. i'm guessing either Canada or the UK. haven't you watched the news of all these people rioting mainly from budget cuts? look, i live in California. we have state run healthcare called Medical. and numerous entitlement programs. okay cool there's all this "free" stuff. taxes are high, we are near bankruptcy and there are no jobs. nothing is free and wherever you learned those facts tell me where and let me see.

  • @Jacoby515 You sir are a moron, I'm sorry Great fucking reasoning, really congratulations. "social programs work on paper. in reality, people have a tendecy to get stuck in there handouts because they will be too afraid to compete for a better living." You do realize that every country with socialized healthcare has a majority approval rating and they get medical help in a clean, friendly and healthy environment, on top of that, socialized healthcare is a cheaper system than we have now.

  • @pobloman1 Yes because most of those countries that have socialized healthcare have extremely lower populations than the U.S. We have over 300 million people to take care of and that is too costly. The reason why our healthcare system sucks in the firstplace is from government intervention reducing the level of competition. When there is no competition you have higher prices because these private companies know if they fail that they have the government to save them. Read a book.

  • @Jacoby515 India has a larger population than us by far [1.21 billion people (2011)] and they have socialized healthcare. You can get an operation in india for a cheaper sum of cash than in America it is also of the same quality found in America (probably better). By the way the first goal of a company is to get money. almost 100,000 people died in the United States each year because of lack of needed care (Harvard Medical School) Tell me privatized healthcare is cheap now.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jacoby515 By the way I just love your last comment, "Read a book." Wow... wow, great insult sir. great fucking insult. I am so offended. Dumbass.

  • @pobloman1 I don't want to offend you. Trust me I was in your position to, same thoughts and views and I finally read and search for the truth. Maybe the truth hurts but swallow it with your pride and become better educated.

  • @Jacoby515 All that I can say is that I know how are healthcare system works, I know people who agree with me and disagree with me and I know the arguments for both sides. I see more reason to change to socialized healthcare. The truth is that the a vast majority of the rest of the world has universal healthcare and loves it. But as for the truth on if we should use it or not... well.. that's fully opinion. At the end of the day I say we use it and you don't think we should.

  • @Jacoby515 You are probably a bright individual and maybe I was a little bit harsh by usng that last insult but we might have some kind of common ground somewhere, but I don't know.

  • @pobloman1 Only the truth creates common ground between all people but only if they can accept the truth.

  • @Jacoby515 (continued) those empires lived in completely different time periods by centuries apart. the rules to the game doesn't change, debt = collapse. we already had our credit downgraded and that's the first to come of many adversities if we don't dig out of this hole. both parties are to blame of this mess. i hate to give you a history lecture but the answers to the future lie with our human history of turning to the gov't for help. and almost every established politician is to blame

  • Your right Lee. im not conservative but i agree with you on a lot of things, especially the young turks. They act like theyre all moderate and theyre not at all..cause if they are moderate that scares me. I especially cant stand Anna she is not intelligent and doesnt add anything to the show..that is why i unsubscribed a long time ago. i couldnt take it anymore

  • thank you for pointing out these people have no idea what they are talking about, keep up the great work, we are with you!

  • great vids...keep it up

  • What the hell are you talking about. You're really making yourself sound like an idiot. Medicare isn't out of money, it's just that Republicans spent the money on war and now they don't want to give it back so they instead want to destroy medicare. And just because you don't agree with liberal ideas doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about. To me, it's sounds a lot like you don't know what you're talking about. Not hating, just keeping it real. I'm not even that liberal.

  • @TheJT33 Medicare not out of money? Thats the funniest thing I've heard. "Republicans spent the money on war." Last time I checked we are in more places now than when Bush was president. We spend double on Medicare than on defense.

  • TYT has over 200 K subscribers and is still growing.

I think your vids are interesting.

It's not that we agree with Cenk 100% of the time.

But mostly 60%. Cenk is actually not even so much on the left as you would think.

He just wants a balanced approach. Something we haven't seen in in 10 years

  • This guy got beat up a lot in school......

  • tyt just dont like fox news cause GB is on it. and the stupid idiot from TYT should to totally go head to head with GB.

  • 5:20 - your argument amounts to "well you're idea is stupid, so go pound dirt". plan ahead to avoid looking a fool.

  • i guess they should read from a teleprompter or read from scripts. Then maybe they'd be professional?

  • Sad thing is, liberals will watch this and think it's actually news.

  • Were you hunting for intellectual depth from, you know, like, not smart guys?

  • Why are people not being millionairs are concerned about and defending tax cuts for millionaires and MNEs? I will never get that. I prefer to stick with the guys that help ME.

  • Have any of you guys ever listened to Air America? It's a fucking disgrace, it's seriously just trying to pin racism on tea party people and right wingers. Guess what guys? I'm a Mexican American and guess what? I'm a tea party Libertarian. So I hate myself right? That's what MSNBC and Air America tell me, that I'm a poor stupid unfortunate soul who betrayed my culture for not relying on the government.

Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, TYT all pathetic excuses for radio shows

  • @Redeye1524 thats all they do over on the left wing. they want to make certain groups of people seem oppressed and make people feel bad for them. they throw a little pity party so they can spread the idea of stick out your hands for the cancer called dependency

  • @Redeye1524 If you're Mexican and you agree with the tea party, something is wrong with your head. They're totally anti-brown people man. What are you doing? the Tea party have proven themselves to be ignorant, easily manipulated sheeple. You know what let me rephrase. If you agree with the tea party and you're ALIVE, somethings wrong with your head. As for libertarian, when the fuck have right wing economic plans ever worked? Give me ONEONEEONEONEOENOENE example of tax cuts creating jobs.

  • @iowntwocats I think its funny you are calling him a sheeple and yet you tell him he can't be Mexican and a teaparty member and they are anti-brown. They are not, they are Anti-illegal immigrants, from ALL countries.

  • isn't your employer already paying for your health care sence he/she gives you the pay check that pays for your health care? if so then it makes no sence any ways the employers would deduct the health care costs from paychecks that people would of payed them selves if it didnt happen duh. it just takes away from my money and eliminates the middle man me.

  • Prove that your using the same poll, please

  • I just love how this Cenk guy cant stop stumbling over his own words. Everything is "um um um". He is in the wrong line of work.

  • @antigov84 No, it's called he doesnt run the show from a prompter.

  • @SarahB360 He should still manage to string together sentences. He starts rambling like a meth head on a bender.

  • No actual intellectual commentary included in this video. May I ask why?

  • @CHAOSoriginal because you have to be intelligent to get it.

  • cenk pressed 'dislike button' 483 times

  • @larsiemannen Cenk have 489 youtube accounts lol

  • I would rather have people who are chill about the news than lie about what happens. I like this whole maturity thing he does here. Really...really... plus the is a matter with the context, tired of it...

  • you sound like steve buscemi :)

  • Because Like!

  • Herpa durpa durp - Cenl Uygar

  • I apologize for filibustering, but in response to Cenk's comment about the Bush tax cuts and deficits. He needs to take a gander at "Hauser's Law" and after the Kennedy tax cuts were passed, federal revenue as a % of GDP went up in the 10 following years. Has he heard of the Laffer Curve? I know LEE has, but Cenk is not in LEE's league. Good day.

  • Has Cenk ever wondered why employer-provided health care dominates today? Because of FDR's wage freeze and subsequent loophole and tax break to employers for providing health care insurance. It's a great idea, until you have a recession. I would wager Cenk has never looked at how much state mandates for health care have increased. The more items you force everyone to have on their plan (chiropracter, mental health parity, etc) the higher the premiums become. He is clueless.

  • ObamaCare only retains the illusion of being deficit-netural because of $500+ billion cuts in Medicare, which we all know aren't going to happen. The "doc fix" was also considered separately, because it will take it into the red. People need to look at how "out-of-pocket" health care spending has plummeted since 1965, when Medicare/Aid was enacted.

  • Of course we Americans have been brainwashed again by corporations. Oh fellow Americans, Is there anything that you can't fuck up?

  • these young turds think they are young because they still live in there moms basement.Go out and get a reaql job.

  • the turks are scum bags..promoting the liberal agenda...basically these guys are musloms in suits..educate your kids before assholes like the turks brain wash them.

  • @wogdoggy

LOL... that's funny. Are ylou really worried that your kids might end up being nice people? Lets face it Cenk seems like a nice guy. Limbaugh and Beck seem like lying arseholes ot me.

  • @bolton1200 life isnt all that it seems is it..guess american people found out what change was and voted a BIG NO on it last NOVEMBER..see change is all you'll have left after the democrats tax you and give it to any moron who'll vote for them..seems america knows what change is now and said no...NOW watch the con man barrack make a false shift to the middle to get re ]elected..dont buy the bullshit..obama is what he is,drug head raised by a transvestite who played you like a fiddle

  • @wogdoggy

LOL.... paranoia strikes deep! ...and lies don't do you any favours either.

  • @bolton1200 a brilliant comeback..you may qualify for a lifetime membership to the dummycratic party

  • @wogdoggy

What party? Then again... you probably belong to that thing called the Tea Party. As a man, I would never be associated with that sort of thing. I heard it's a collection of racist grandmothers.

  • Note To all collectivist commenting: Go join your collective hive, just don't? put a GUN to my head and

demand that I join(ie- socialized medicine, etc) ---- Understand???? Get it? Leave me the hell alone. You go

your way, I'll go my way. Its a no brainer. --- create your own communal system here in the US(outside of

Government intervention), you have more than enough people willing -- so whats the problem? Communal living

(outside of forced participation) is possible, just do it.

  • these videos are fuckin awesome

  • how the world works in my own mind , this guy is total lost, "did you hear what he said" , yeah i did you didnt. he uses no facts interprets statements the way he wants them to fit his own ideaoligy. you ever wonder what happens to the nerd wannabes in school, they turn into this guy.

  • @smithbrass learn how to speak English.

  • @weseyedwalk you need to learn how to understand english

  • The Lame Turks are hypocrites WOW, and MSNBC just hired one of them, Cenk, seriously ????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! figures that's why MSNBC is the anti-American news station.

  • @smithbrass Youre actually wrong! Shools dont turn people into LEE Doran. They turn into people like you.

  • @smithbrass

Yea, even though this guy has graduated from law school, one of the most disciplinary fields of study in existence. He is 10 times smarter than 90% of the people on youtube because he has actually STUDIED in the field in which he talks about. The people on the Turks network just know how to spout their empty opinions and look good in front of a camera. They probably have very limited knowledge on the subjects they talk about.

  • @OddRobb Cenk went to law school. He's the Young Turks guy. He's well informed as well.

  • I'm have generally liberal views but I hate TYT with a passion

  • I love it!!

    great work!!!!

  • @o56kid this idiot who did the video..is a neocon asshole

  • @brickman73 elaborate please! I want to learn what you think. .

  • @o56kid the guy who makes comments against cenk is a brainwashed neocon little prick

  • @brickman73 Yea?

I have different views about that... The turks come across to me as babbling idiots that are full of emotion and out of facts. I have a feeling that all will be very very clear in the next few years, or even the next few months. . .

  • @o56kid well you keep living in your bubble and when it burst is will be too late

  • @brickman73 I am READY Brother.

I got food, I got water, I got guns, & I got fuel.

This country made a 5000 year leap in less than 300 years, our govt system has prevailed over EVERY SYSTEM EVER IN EXISTENCE ALL OVER THE WORLD & Il be darned if Its going to go back in time because some dumb liberals want what they want. im going to fight & I hope you do too. . .

BTW, its about the well being of the country, not the petty bigoted views of political fools. . .

  • @o56kid dude you seriously need professional mental help..and the most current schizophrenic medication...please get it...i have pity on you

  • @brickman73 Haha, I was waiting for you to start up with the personal attacks. All it took was a fact or two huh?

Reserve your pity for yourself. I don't need it. just use your head and watch the news,ALL the news, left right and center. Schitzo, LOL, yea I'm holed up in my basement LMAO, C'mon buddy, please! How do you know I dont live in the middle of nowhere on a farm and all my supplies are for my normal daily life? Hmmmm.

Are you a psychologist by the way?

    ROFL

  • @o56kid better yet go to the pharmacy and buy a pack of razor blades...start a nice warm bath..and remember across the street and up the river...and bleed you bastard bleed

  • @brickman73 Dont get manic not. LMAO

  • This guy should have the mic under his seat 'cause he's really talkin' out his ass.

  • I just feel embarrassed for them.

  • I think it's hilarious that people would even question whether or not Lee Doren is actually going to make 4076 videos in total. What dumbasses!

  • Im a conservative Latino

and DICK sanchez is a faggot

  • I "lol"ed the first 30 seconds of the video. He played a clip of TYT talking about health care SYSTEM. He then go on to talk about health care COST which is totally irrelevant to the discussion. And rural FARMERS? He never mentioned farmers...

  • Wait up. You have 4076 videos, we'll average to 5 mins each about how much the young turks suck? Dude that is over 2 weeks of your life in just making videos about how much TyT sux. This is not to mention all the time you spend researching their points and then finding the counter point. This is months of your life. I can get you a psych bed so you can get help. Stalkers are creepy, just so you know. Wow man. Get a life. Seriously.

  • @DasGimp This guy's being a wise ass with the 4076. e did a good job researching and countering everything these guys said with statistical evidence that's just as sound as The Young Turks. Of all the hobbies a person could have, I think making proper, well formed arguments against morons is better than playing video games.

  • good lord...one more thing -- it IS cheaper. the thermostat metaphor is a straw man argument. do they teach conservatives to all lie the same way? here's a metaphor - saying "invading iraq was a bad idea just like swimming in a pool that's too cold is a bad idea because it'll make your muscles sore and joints hurt sooo bad. it' also rough on your lungs!" - which has absolutely nothing to do with invading iraq - but it would convince some idiots that a point was made about iraq.

  • wow, one more thing - Cenk and Ana are talking about Fox News being juvenile and yet they are being juvenile and silly. ok, what about it? Fox New's claim is to be NEWS and fair and balanced. The Young Turks is a political COMMENTARY and ENTERTAINMENT! if Cenk came out and sat his balls on the table and did the show thru a megaphone, it wouldn't matter bc it's COMMENTARY! Fox News is suppose to be reporting the news. period. get it?

  • Comment removed

  • you're spinning things totally in the wrong direction. "taking their tax dollars by force" - what force!? - we already PAY TAXES! we just want the richest 2 percent to pay more rather than 98 percent of americans. why is that hard to understand?

  • @zoomjoeyzoom if you don;t pay your taxes the government will use force to take it from you or jail you. If we keep taxing the rich, they may move their money out of the country, also the rich will have less to save and invest which causes job creation.

  • JUST GOOGLE; "WHY I SUSPECT THAT "THE YOUNG TURKS" ARE A YOUTUBE MUSLIM GROUP"

  • Why is there so much fighting, Liberals= freedome for people Conservatives= Freedome for industries and top 2%, if your not the highest 2% richest, why are you helping them, why do you americans have the dilussion that some day you'll be in the top 2% so you help them instead of you? There not the top 2% for no reason, and they have control over you because of it, if every american thought they would never ge further in life then they are now 98% would vote Liberal.

  • @dave19941000 You are so fucking clueless that I stopped reading your comment when you misspelled "freedom"

  • @dave19941000 Lolwut? Lrn 2 English.

  • I can't believe these fucks get paid to bring this shit on youtube.

  • Thanks for these videos. I always have the urge to respond to the stupidity of the Young Turks, but always end up thinking better of it. Now that I've come across your excellent videos I won't feel the urge to respond.

    Thanks a lot!

  • OK let's turn this debate mathematical:

Let's assume the richest 1% make more than $1 million

Raising their taxes 1.6% equals $16,000 or more in new taxes

You're saying that the benefits for the rich are GREATER than $16,000!? Clueless.

  • I just saw a video of that idiot saying that tax cuts caused the great depression and the dot com bubble, funny shit.

  • the young turds!

  • You guys got nothing on tyt.Rightwingers are clueless morons though. * years of Bush's dumbass made that staggeringly obvious. How did that deregulation for Big oil work out for you. Implimented by your buddy Bush. Obama still has two years. nothin you can do about that either.

  • Lee Doren is a major douchebag who uploads the same trash all the other right wingers bloggers uploads or broadcast on their shows

  • AT&T is already planning on droping their employee health plan, b/c its cheaper to pay the fine, make their employees get it from the feds, and pay the fine. this is of course not an accident, its is the govs way of rigging the system so that when it fails they can be there to say 'see, this is what happens when we dont have enough power'

  • i would like to see his ratings against the o'reilly factory

  • I love this guys videos tyt is like the stupid guy that never stops talking you just want him to shut up but he never will.

  • also at the very end, you said that corporations want and dont want public option.

    OUT OF CONTEXT!

insurance companies hate the public option, others don't

  • they have a radio show on Sirius and XM. plus, they have a really big channel on youtube.

  • This series should be retitled as HowTheWorldWorks is Clueless, honestly. I like watching criticisms of some of my views and things I like, to hear another opinions that allow me to think. HTWW vs TYT only makes me laugh :P

  • @lindafay1

19 years old. 45% chance of being a college student. 100% chance of being more ignorant and dumber than a bag of sand.

I would like you to point out how Lee is clueless.

  • @taylort123 Funny how college students, aka people whom are educated and are being educated, and frowned upon and insulted by the right. ;)

He is clueless first in not understanding how TYT works (I explained that in another comment on, I think, his part 1). Any frequent viewer of TYT would laugh at many of the claims HTWW makes.

    Continued in next reply..

  • @lindafay1 are* frowned upon. Sorry for the typo.

  • @taylort123 He also takes the clips out of context, misinterprets them, and lies about them. I remember many of the clips HTWW uses so I know this for sure. I'd link you to them and use quotes for examples, but HTWW evidently realizes that he does this because he doesn't bother to site the videos that he uses. Considering this video was made 10 months ago, it'd be pretty hard for me to find the actual videos HTWW used.

  • @lindafay1 He never took any clips out of context. Almost every point Lee made in this video was drawn out and explained in depth on how TheYoungTurks were wrong.

  • @taylort123 Also, I'm 19, you're 20. Not a huge difference. Maybe you're sad you couldn't get accepted to any college? Or perhaps you didn't care to go to one, being intelligent is too "liberal" for you, or something like that.

  • Pointing out your age it wasn't to show superiority, it was only to show that your comments showed you are obviously college "educated"

FYI, I already went to post secondary schooling during my high school years. So now rather than spending money for learning about things that I probably won't be interested in after school, I now make money.

Being indoctrinated is what I hate, something that is obvious in your case. You threw insults out there towards lee, but no factual arguments against him

  • @lindafay1: I have to step in here and take side. I just graduated with a degree in history and international relations and what taylor123 states is true. Most college students are ignorant as hell because 1: They haven't seen much of the real world and 2: They don't question what their professors tell them, and many professors are out of touch with reality themselves. I was fortunate to have many great professors and I thought critically about what was taught.

  • The Youngturks is a racist anti-white group, who make a living spreading hate and anti-americanism.

    Fuck these scumbags.

  • Cenk and that stupid bitch talk about how fox is childish when they say the word "like" two times per sentence. Go back to middle school TYT.

  • "like totally!" hahahahahhaha

  • First of all, I have a question for you. Is it better to plan that you will spend $4 trillion then going to use $4 trillion or leaving the nation after 8 years in office with surprising unplanned $3.5 trillion deficit?

Second, I don't like the way you examine The Young Turks video commentary. You cut some parts then interrupt and so on. If you wanna judge, let the viewers watch the whole Young Turks clip first, then you can comment and go back to a certain part.

  • i hate these voiceover type of videos. They assume that the viewers can't understand all that is going on and has to explain it line by line.

It's not like it's hard to figure out if he is saying something that is a lie or not. So let people hear it for themselves and not apply your own context for everything.

  • Lee, you are a complete moron. There are legitimate arguments against the Young Turks arguments, but you make none of them. Instead you twist words and fail to understand their argument at all. Remember you have to actually understand what they are saying before you can argue against it.

For example Cenk says INSURANCE companies to not want the public option to compete with them, but other corporations DO so that they can dump people off their healthcare plans. This is a contradiction?

  • It is obvious from how Cenk OBLITERATED you in your debate with him that you do not understand the Healthcare bill, his arguments, or even various facts, figures or economic ideas very well. So please STOP you HURT YOUR ARGUMENT WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. If you ACTUALLY want to argue with their beliefs, do RESEARCH, apply CRITICAL THINKING and LOGIC skills, THEN and ONLY THEN debate someone's views.

You can't skip the hard work and understanding and go straight to debating.

  • Your quote about how many believe healthcare costs will go down has f all to do with what the guy was saying about how many want universal healthcare.

    Your vids are embarrassing. ciao

  • This is just opinion on both sides, not facts.

  • 1. the public option isnt subsidized

    2. the 09 budget is bush's budget. it was 1.2 trillion before obama even got there.

  • @petieee

Bush's 2009 budget had a $407 billion deficit (granted, still a very large number), but Obama's deficit for the year ended up being over a trillion, no?

  • @Albyiscool

    No.

    Bush's 2008 deficit was 407 billion.

Bush's 2009 deficit was 1.2 trillion. i.e. Obama walks in on the first day and America already has a 1.2 trillion deficit for the year and is in a recession. But yes he has spent more since then.

So even if Mccain won, it is almost inconvievable that he wouldnt try to stimulate the economy to prevent america going into depression. So the lowest it could POSSIBLY be is 1.3 trillion considering how bush left it and the state of theeconomy

  • @petieee

That may be true, but Bush's predicted 2009 budget had a $407 billion deficit. Obama came in and passed a stimulus, thus adding money to the budget. That is how we got to 1.2 trillion (remember $700 billion stimulus? 400b +700b = ...)

I'd like to think McCain would spend less or spend more effectively. Then again, he is a RINO, so he would end up spending like the neocon Bush, or the liberal Obama. Neither is good for the US.

  • @alby

Are you just making numbers up?

On Jan 7, 2009, two weeks before Obama took office, the CBO reported the deficit was projected to be $1.2 trillion.

The 787b stimulus package is spread over the next decade or whatever. The 09 portion of the stimulus bill is 100+ billion.

The deficit was probably about 400b before bush did the tax cuts, the prescription drug program for the elderly, and the Troubled Asset Relief Program, which was about 700b.

  • January is not when the budget is approved. The fiscal year 2009 started in October 2008. In January 2009, a new President and new Congress were inaugurated, the budget was approved by the old Congress under an old President. Once the new Congress came in, they could spend however they wanted (remember how Congress voted to increase the debt ceiling?)

  • Thats right. But when a new president comes in during the middle of a fiscal year they cant just remove take 1.2 trillion out of the budget that has already been committed.

  • @petieee

But they can add to it. You and I seem to have different fundamental numbers to this however. You assume Bush approved the 1.2 trillion, I have found it to be $407 billion

  • @Albyiscool

Yes they can add to it. Obama added 200 billion to it so it is now 1.4ish trillion

We have to same figures you just dont understand them.

When Bush proposed the budged in Jan 08 he estimated the deficit to be about 400b. However in the next 10 months or so he enacted 700b+ worth of new programs, so a year later (2 weeks before Obama came in) the deficit was estimated to be 1.2 trillion.

Also the economy got worse so receipts were 100Bish less than expected. If you were wondering.

  • @petieee

But that new spending was enacted in the 2008 fiscal year, besides Congress was the one that ultimately wrote and approved the budget.

  • @alby

It counted for the 09' budget.

And yes. It was approved by the congress controlled by Bush.

Anyway back to my original FACT. The deficit was 1.2 trillion before Obama even got into office.

He may have a lot of problems but blaming the entire deficit on him is just wrong. If you got your information from somewhere other than fox news or wikipedia you might know that.

  • @petieee

The 2009 budget? It was passed by a Democratic Congress (remember the 2006 elections?)

All this arguing is useless anyway. It doesn't change the fact that Obama's deficits are still greater than any before

  • @petieee

But Obama only extended the deficit by 200 billion. FACT.

Thats about 14% if your interested.

The rest of it (86%) was given to him by Bush.

The level of denial that you show is fairly impressive though.

  • @petieee

Okay, so direct me to your sources, CONVINCE me, rather than just shouting numbers to my face.

How can you expect me to be anything less than skeptical when we simply have differing numbers? I can't just take your word for it.

  • @petieee AHAHHAHHHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Are you serious?!!? Where the hell did you get that? Not that Im a Bush fan, but please.....that is so far off!

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot

maybe you should look into it yourself then. but i guess reading is pretty hard. so obviously you wont.

  • @petieee Well lets see I think most people know that Obama has increased the debt by over 2 trillion in his first 430 days in office! Which is the fastest increase in US history and its not going to slow down with all the new spending Obama is implementing. So.....uh...I think your the one who needs to check the facts. I don't know where in the world you heard Obama only extended the debt by 200 billion, but thats not even close.

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot maybe you should learn how budgets work...

why dont you go find out how much of that is due to Bush's budget.

you should read the CBO report the week before Obama came in.

n.b. Obama doesnt have a time machine. Keep that in mind.

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot At least he planned and said it publicly he would go deficit rather than leaving with $3.5 trillion more debt after 8 years with all the economic downturns

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot WRRRRROOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG

  • @SatanNazi Yeah, OK, Mr."satan nazi" LOL. HAHAHHAHAHH!!

  • Does nobody know what a turk is, theyre terrorists!
