To hear maiden you need to have an exquisite sense of music, pertain to a gang of outlaws. Metal sounds nice in metal-head ears not for common ears. For me, metal is a different style from rock and roll, metal is another category, we should have our own "Heavy Metal hall of fame". Maybe one day.

I've always liked metallica better than maiden but now i think it's starting to turn around. I've seen both live and Maiden pwned metallica live even though i knew all the metallica songs but only half of the maiden songs. Both are great though \m/
