This tune is genius! Definitely my favourite lizards tune.. they kinda of reign in the mental just enough for it to be, for me, a perfect tune. A forgotten classic.
Wow, I had totally forgotten this song. I have this LP on vinyl and don't have the turntable hooked up anymore, so it's been ages. This one hits all the right spots: infectious laid back bass/rhythm groove accompanied by almost random noises, some etherialness, and semi-bad to outright aweful performances. And it all blends together into a skewed and delicious brew. This is when TFL really work: skating the edge between control and abandon, embracing noise and chaose, while maintaining groove.
sounds a bit like the Raincoats actually...

@HoodooDot Thanks for commenting.
My two favs are "The Window" and "Money (That's What I Want").
A few other tracks I like by them are...
"Great Balls of Fire",
"Dizzy Miss Lizzie", and
"Purple Haze".
I just did a youtube search for "Purple Haze" and there isn't one.
Hmm, too tired right now...I'll upload "Purple Haze" sometime tomorrow :-)

I love how many of their songs convey feminist concerns, either explicitly or vaguely. Stereolab, so far as I know, never did this.
