drop down to the gear you wish to come out of the corner (usually 2 gears down. depending on ur speed), open ur throttle steadily at the same time give a slight brake on e front wheel. do all this with ur body weight shifting more to the front of the bike. -thats backing it in
No brakes; just downshifting and weight shift. It's called "backing it in", sets the rider up for the apex. That particular instance looks more like showing off a bit for the camera though.
so do you just begin a drift by doing intense engine breaking?

yes well said. i hate it when people say 'oh all you do is slam the rear brake and lean"
facenayl 3 years ago
Also watch your clutch ;)
You don't want your rear weal to stop/block while on the other hand you don't want it roll freely ;)

antt0n 4 years ago
as i see its just with the brakes, front and rear, both.
holzmichi04 4 years ago
no lol he lays it down slideways
cubix20 3 years ago
i dont wanna argue about if he is using any brakes or not. im not a supermoto expert
(i just have a dr 350, i guess your rmz is faster ;-)
but to me it seems that its impossible to drift like this without using any brakes. watch at 00:05 his right foot.
anyways fact is : drifting like this is very cool =) keep on riding m8
