It's easy to be considered a bad putter when you strike the ball as good as Sergio does. Granted he doesn't make as many putts as you'd expect but that's because he's so good tee to green. As far as his attitude goes I can only imagine that not having a major victory under his belt weighs on him, like it would on anyone with his quality.

putting is under scrutiny b/c his swing is the closest we have to ben hogan(who apparently is infallible--total b.s. btw) that is until tiger made changes...therefore people are trying to find reason why he hasnt won more...the real reason?=chokes like fred couples...which spills over to his putting

@PUArtista How can you say that Couples chokes...he's won a green jacket! Maybe he hasn't won as many tournaments as you would think but just because he's a poor putter from 4ft and in doesn't mean that the guy hasn't/ can't finish a tournament.

in responce to 'gavinpubantis' couldnt agree more. the media are constantly saying negative things about his putting, when he putts well hes a great putter, it must be so hard when his puttings constantly being put under speculation. if you say it enough to someone there goign to start beilveing it and loose confidence

Poor Sergio I bet he is still angry about the 2008 British Open and missing that putt to win so many people would have given him the props he deserves after that but he let it slip away to Padraig best player not to win a major in my opinion I thought this season would have been his best yet cause he ended so strongly last season but oh well him and Scott both have great swings but their short game let them down a bit hopefully they both start doing as well as they should be doing soon.

sergio has a great swing, but a bad attitude. he could putt when he was 16 because he actually enjoyed the game back then

Thats rubbish... it's not his attitude. He was tipped to be as good as Tiger when he broke through but never won a major. He is still a very good putter, it needs to improve for him to be in contention more often.

It has to be difficult when everyone writes that you are a bad putter all the time. That is probably part of the reason he's changed putter so often, and no one can be a great putter if they're not confident.

Hi - the 'short airport runway' is plastic sheets to protect the tee on practice days.

They remove the sheets for competition days.

damn with this swing i don't know how he hasn't won a Major. Probably, because under pressure his timing gets a little off.... He losses his posture on the downswing and never recovers it which gets him stuck near impact. Sergio needs a little more room between his right thigh and right arm near impact.
