The villain of the series has conflicting motives, once stated to want to rule, once to want to destroy, both stated by him. The love interest is a cheap whore who likes the protagonist when she learns he has powers, not a moment before. The dialogue is god-awful as well. Plus holes you can drive a truck through.

I know you're trying to give out information, and you obviously love the original series and manga, but come on. Being smug and rubbing it in people's faces that you were right about something almost everyone saw coming isn't helping your cause. At the end of the day it is only a movie, the series is just a series, and the manga is just manga. Given, a very good series and manga, but not enough to warrant a YT channel protesting a movie that isn't canon or receiving a sequel.
"Dragon Ball: Evolution" is a total disgusting representation of the Dragon Ball, the story is disrespectful to the manga, the anime and the original "Journey of the West" story was based upon. The characters are replaced with downgrades of their original counterparts (where is Krillin?), the fight scenes were not as good, and the opportunities to at least refer to future events and characters are not taken. Hollywood, read up a manga volume RIGHT NOW!!!

You're right, it is the same as the Street Fighter and Mario movies, it sucks! Now, I do own both movies because I think they are entertaining, but they are definitely not like the originals. I also have DBE, only because it is a "DB" movie and I think it is "entertaining", but no, it is not a good representation of the original DB. I do hope they make new one, a better one that is as close to the original DB as you can get, PPLLEEAASSEE!!!! And a Legend of Zelda movie too, please...?
The only things they got right in my opinion was that Goku ate and ate, and ate (two turkey legs), Yamcha seemed correct, they had Grampa Gohan(though Goku kills him, not Piccolo), the Kamehameha looked pretty cool, but I suppose it could have been better, and Chichi was a bossy b&$@*. I can sort of understand putting Goku in highschool, but really, they should have made him a boy; they kept Aang a kid in Last Airbender and I thought that was better than this movie by the way. And the thing is, didn't James Marsters, Emmy Rossum, and Justin Chatwin all said they were fans of the original, so why did it turn into this piece of shit? They could have done a better job with Goku transforming, Piccolo wasn't the evil side of Kame, and the final fight scene could have been so much better. (See next post.)

"Dragon Ball: Evolution" is a total disgusting representation of the Dragon Ball, the story is disrespectful to the manga, the anime and the original "Journey of the West" story was based upon. The characters are replaced with downgrades of their original counterparts (where is Krillin?), the fight scenes were not as good, and the opportunities to at least refer to future events and characters are not taken. Hollywood, read up a manga volume RIGHT NOW!!!

You're right, it is the same as the Street Fighter and Mario movies, it sucks! Now, I do own both movies because I think they are entertaining, but they are definitely not like the originals. I also have DBE, only because it is a "DB" movie and I think it is "entertaining", but no, it is not a good representation of the original DB. The only things they got right in my opinion was that Goku ate and ate, and ate (two turkey legs), Yamcha seemed correct, they had Grampa Gohan(though Goku kills him, not Piccolo), the Kamehameha looked pretty cool, but I suppose it could have been better, and Chichi was a bossy b&$@*. I can sort of understand putting Goku in highschool, but really, they should have made him a boy; they kept Aang a kid in Last Airbender and I thought that was better than this movie by the way. I got caught up in the hype about the movie, I thought it would be good, and I too was greatly disappointed. And the thing is, didn't James Marsters, Emmy Rossum, and Justin Chatwin all said they were fans of the original, so why did it turn into this piece of shit? They could have done a better job with Goku transforming, Piccolo wasn't the evil side of Kame, and the final fight scene could have been so much better. (See next post.)

I have tried so many times on so many occasions to watch this movie all the way through. But the cheesy godawful assness of this movie becomes too much for me to handle, and I could never finish it. I did see the ending though, and that sucked 19 different kinds of ass as well. It makes Street Fighter/Legend of Chun-Li, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation look badass.

I'm not a hardcore fan of DBZ and Im not really that into anime, but i just finished watching the movie from hiring it out the other day and I liked it, I dont know what was wrong with it from the original series "POV" but I do know some acting skills were lacking haha but overall, putting aside the original series I quite enjoyed the movie I especially like the fight scenes near the beggining where he is at school and he makes them fight themselves :D I also like when he discovers the suit :D

Piccolo transferred the last of his ki into that egg so that it would manifest as him again. Hence why Kami said Piccolo was "still alive". The new body he gained however was smaller, more agile and deadly, but due to the fact his Ki was fading already, the new form did not bear all of Piccolo's evil either.
