i guess it was skin cancer not AIDS.he was and still remain the greatest artist of all the time!Klaus was unique,he was an innocent angel with a precious voice!I respect him like an artist and also like human!
A tad too homoerotic for me. However, the intensity of my feeling for Klaus is not in the least bit tainted by my heterosexuality. A beautiful tribute.
ilgruener: "A bit to homo erotic for me..." What the hell kind of comment is that? When I say I enjoy watching an artist, I never say 'oh, but it's just too hetero for me." Klaus was gay. Get over it, and grow up. Learn to appreciate without prejudice.
"some of my best friends are gay and black and jewish and...and...and...and I pretend not to notice." blah. ANYWAY, what a really exceptional tribute to Klaus Nomi.
I wish Klaus alive and make more unforgettable music and his beautiful angelic voice. Klaus may have passed on, but his music will be with us forever.
remember this...at the same time Klaus was perfecting his craft in new York City...Madonna was working on hers...in almost the same scene...the respect Klaus gets...is worth more than all the money Madonna made...I was there in NYC in those years...it was hard to get the notice and respect Klaus got...it is hard to this day
I have the greatest respect for Nomi. He performed even in the late stages of AIDS and all but the last months of his life. To go onstage, breathless, fatigued, plagued by the other ills of this disease such as incontinence and such, and to sing operatic scores with near perfection, must have been a herculean task for anyone.
I salute you, Nomi, for your courage and perserverance; symbols we all can aspire to and proud efforts of endurance which outshine even your fine music.
The light that shines the brightest burns the shortest. Nomi was a beacon, showing all of us where a fusion of classical and popular art could lead us. Even today, he remains ahead of his time. Wherever he is now, his voice adds to its beauty. Bless you for writing this poem and for posting this video.
The one striking a pose is Nomi (go figure, lol), but I'm not sure who the other man is to be honest. I wanna say it was one of his friends that was with him through most of his carier, but I'm not positive.
thanks for this tribute.a genious like Nomi cannot die.he lives before the eyes of Art. he lives in our hearts always teasing our minds.he was miles away his era anyway
yes it's sad....:-(( i burst into tears !

If you say it's too 'homo-erotic', how can you say your feeling for him is 'not in the least bit tainted'?

Same here. Nomi was a legend and probably the greatest thing to happen in the history of music. I only wish I could have been there to see it.

They aired the movie some days ago, but my TV broke just some hours before. :-(
