Has anyone finished type a? I remember a different ending to the rocket. I got a picture of the cathedral with a tiny guy on a balcony playing a fanfare. This was on the original gamboy with a PAL copy of tetris. Has anyone cracked the game? Which ending was this?

I just pwnd him at level 12 with 127 lines. This strategy was good. I should try it out.

i got over level 60 in 1 game then the next i started with fresh batterys and got to over level 90 before me batterys died. i looked and that was WAY over the world record so i might be wrong. it took hours i had to blink strategically, my eyes burned for a long time afterword. i couldnt play tetris for a long time after that. i was 8 years old. i started at level 9. i made it over level 20 quite a few times. i suck at it now tho. is level 60 or 90 even possible or did i remember it wrong?

@jake7864 You remembered wrong this version only goes up to Level 20. You can watch video(s) by Spectre on YouTube where he maxes score and it's at hundreds of lines into level 20 so if there was a level 21 you'd think he would have come across it in doing so.

You use some interesting techniques playing through the middle, it's quite clever some of the things you do. Do you always play though the middle ? i understand it's easier to get the stick into position in the higher levels but in this game for example you seem to have sacraficed a lot of points having to deal with gaps.

No I don't always play through the middle, I experiment a lot and try to come up with different strategies sort of depending on the version. Old school Gameboy though I find that once your Lvl 18+ it's good to get used to building mid so you can keep getting tetrises during lvl 20. This was one of my 1st games playing after a long hiatus so not that good of a game.

start at higher level. like level 9, then you'll get used to the speed of the game... level 20 will not very fast for you.. (the speed will not increase after this level)

then you'll reach 999999 after some practice.

My personal Tetris record is about 1.5 million (not GameBoy)

yeah i played a lot of chess when i was younger so i tend to strategize alot with most anything. i figured setting up the middle allows you to only have to flip the long piece once instead of flipping and moving it all the way to a side. maybe i'm just lazy though lol.

What music is this playing?

FYI: Highest level in this version is 20 (it never speeds up after that). If you did all Tetrises starting at level 9, you would have 300000 by 100 lines, then between approx another 450000 by 200 lines if still doing all Tetrises. Looks like you need a minimum of 250 lines to get the 999999. There is another video on here that shows someone getting 999999 after over 630 lines.

my highest score is 483,923 (200+ lines) i think, done recently while travelling, will have to find what my previous high score which was around the same mark. I'm sure if i didn't waste a few lines, and got an extra tetris or 2 i could get over 500k someday

I do like yr strategy on the middle tunnel for the straight, but don't know if it's necessary below lvl 10, or perhaps below lvl 15, i leave my gap left or right.

I am sure it's possible to get over 500k, and still aiming for it... does it give a bigger rocket? i doubt much higher than lvl 21 is possible, as you can't move blocks to the edge of the screen.

thanks for the comments guys...the funny thing is i haven't ever gotten around to posting any of my newer games. when i made this one i was just gettin back into playing again i think i'll have to put another one up soon. today i just had back to back 500,000 point games for the 2nd time in my life which is pretty amazing. too bad i wasn't recording although i took some pix of it. i'll post something new soon tho i promise

Yeah, this isn't all that great of a game...I hadn't played in months and just after seeing a few online videos I decided to try and record, but it sucked becuz I had to set my cam on tripod up infront of me and sit in a chair while trying to hold the gameboy steady and click fast still infront of the cam, so a few errors I made were do to that alone. But, yeah I've had much better then this and I don't feel it's too clicky.
