lol, you can't compare the older legends, such as Pele and Maradona because soccer wasn't as established at the time (that's how turkey has more world cups than some big teams such as France) so they can't be "No. 1" and as good as anybody as been in Zidane's time, no one could have controlled the midfield like he had done consistantly, unlike Ronaldo who wasn't nearly as consistant and on top of that could never destroyed a top team (98, 06 brazil got pwned) as Zidane could.
