@sermerlin1 Doberman's are not meant to be cute, at least for my own preference. Besides, they look cute when they are puppies but they get so much longer and goofier when they are older, very ugly too. I prefer it cropped, not to mention cropping is not that bad, its temporary pain, just like when you pierce your own baby girl ears for her first ear-rings :) .
i love the way dobermans look with cropped ears! i dont get why people get so worked up about it. i mean in this society people expect men to get circumcised but if a dog gets its ears to look cool its outrageous?...lol
@gmondragonmorales actually there is controversy with circum. and the circum. rate of men is droping in this country very fast. im glad you love the way it looks, and cutting off a dogs ears for LOOKS is a "great" reason. they are more prone to infection, lose 15 degrees of hearing, suffer from pain after the surgery, and have to be owned by someone who cut of their body parts so that it could look "good". These dogs are gorgeous with their ears natural and still tough as shit. crop ears= bad.

Besides the Peta tree-hugging element; NO ONE IN NORTH AMERICA CARES what silly euro laws exist or are enacted. All OUR past Dobermans and current one are/were WORKING DOGS- Meaning GUARD DOG to protect family and home FIRST; THEN family pet and companion. I would NEVER own a non-Crop n Docked DP - For SAFETY and HEALTH reasons. Good Day

It is not the the "best and healthiest" choice for Dobermans. In European shows, cropping and docking are BANNED.
If it IS best and healthy, then wouldn't ALL breeds be cropped??????
