Very cool ride. Yes ! I'm envious !! ^_^ I do have a question, are the doors or door handles from a 57-58 Desoto ? Just curious. I like the wheels, they work if you can't get the OEM wheelcovers, needs BIGGER whitewalls. Great vid.
(Zierleisten etc ?)
I know where some of these are parked to be restored. heads up tho that they don't go cheap but being southern cars they ain't all eaten up either with salt. The are new mexico cars so no salt is used on our roads.
very nice car, close interpretation of christine except for a few details, your interior is done in black and red instead or red and white and your wheel/tire package ... you need the fat whitewall's even if you dont get the right caps
I LOVE YOU CHRISTINE (5/5)!!!!!!
The comments below describe a new movie about Christine. I'm trying to find out if this rumor is true....if anyone has any true information, id appreciate it! Thanks!
@charger19691 theyre running out of ideas and are constantly doing remakes. but this is very good, sometimes! (unless they ruin the film, such as they did with vanishing point.)
who just spoke, that i edited for him of him playing several scenes from the movie including one as his own roll as buddy repperton while also acting as 8 other people at the same time, and scenes acting as both arnie and dennis, etc which he did for practice which are in my videos, check it out.
Keith Gordon is a real cool guy we became friends right away we talk on the phone alot, im not supposed to say anything about the remake but i hope they find all the cars and get them restored by 2011 so there is no more delays. Robert Proskey was cast as Darnell, and sadly died like 2 months before the meeting in April. John Carpenter said its going to be much more realistic then the original. The added in scenes are going to also make it really cool...) Hello i uploaded videos of my friend
From the windshield the 3rd time i struck it with the sludge hammer, but kept going as if i wasn't in pain...it is still in my eye but i can see but it hurts once in a while and was told within a year or so it will work its way out) But anyway they used an ACTUAL 1958 plymouth fury for the REHEARSAL, it looked BRAND NEW i even got to test drive it prior to the rehearsal scene. I think they should of saved that for the movie and used a Savory or Belvedere, i did not want to smash it...but had to.
Details to them such as the Fury logo on the rear side, the engin...and the front-end. 4 of the cars in the orignal movie have been sitting in a junkyard since the filming of the original, those are all being restored since those are the best ones they have found. They need 28 cars and 20 functing cars that do different things. To my surprise, during the 'rehearsal' scene which was filmed by john carpenter for review was the scene where we destory the car (i got glass in my left eye,
The only bully who was in the original playing the same roll is Malcolm Darner who played Moochie, he looks like he has not changed at all. A half hour is being added in deleted scenes to the movie, i have a copy of the updated script given to me in april while i was there. Anyway, about the cars...actually quite a few of them were actual plymouth fury's, all restored to look brand new. The rest were '58 plymouth belvederes and plymouth savory's, which were converted into furys by adding a few
they cast John Stockwell playing the same exact roll as he has not changed much at all and his age is going to be also altered with special makeup, etc...Alexandra Paul is going to be playing Arnies mother, Roberts Blossom is playing his same roll and looks the same just a little older, Harry Dean Stanton is playing same roll as the cop, looks the same just a little older which they will be doing the best to make them look younger, Keith Gordon (arnie) is going to be the assistant director.
Walking in the hall in the 3rd scene of the movie in the high school...which rockbridge high school was Van Nyus high school in LA. I was asked in late 2008 if i could send a short video of me doing a scene as buddy repperton and a picture of how i look today and i did and got the part right away. During the rehearsal scene while i was there in april i was given a special wig to wear and grew my sideburns out they said i looked just like William Ostrander who played the part in the original.
Could, i was 3-4 during the filming of the original my half sister was 16, her boyfriend was the son of the casting director. I was in scenes such as in the stands where stockwell, or Dennis gets hurt. A total of 8 scenes, 4 which were cut out...one which my sister talked the stunt corrinater named terry to let us sit in the back seat during the scene which was the chase of 'moochie' where i cannot be seen obviously. My sister was in a couple more scenes such as one of the dark haired girls
This movie is being re-made set to start filming if all 28 cars needed are found and restored on time in 2011. My best friend who was an extra in the original as a little kid who is going to be playing 'buddy repperton' is here wanted to say something...hi, this past April i had to drive to hollywood to sunset gower studios, where columbia pictures is and meet with John Carpenter, producer Richard Kobritz, and the rest of the crew and cast, which they cast as many people in the original as they
Fantastic work man! If there were a Christine part 2, it might have looked like this! And never mind about the red colour, Christ I'd pay $80.000 for one of these if I could...
As much as I love the '58 Plymouth ( I am the proud owner of one) I'm a little over the colour they all seem to be...Red! My Belvedere is a gold colour with a beige interior, and it's lovely. Still a nicecar though.
I agree. Many people have bought these cars after seeing the movie so that they can make a Christine Duplicate which is merely impossible because not all the cars were the same in the movie. Some were Fury's, some were Belvederes, and some were even 1957 Plymouth's. And if you looked carefully, some cars had different features. Some had the indented Fury back seat while others had the Belvedere look.
I have the Desert Gold with an off-white roof. I have vids of it here on youtube if you want to check it out. Just search 'kaffyboy' and you'll find them. Let me know what you think of it.
