  • Isner put up a better fight for Nadal in the first round compared to Federer in the final....

  • @aznboi1398 Well, the scoreboard certainly suggests that but I believe that if Fed made that drop shot at 5-2 in the first set, he would have won the French open but instead he missed it and Nadal had acquired a form that he hadn't had in the first round. He came back won the set and 3 hours later dropped to his knees in victory.

  • I quote a yahoo comment I read before this match "Isner won't be the marathon man in this match. Nadal will take him out in three easy sets, he has nothing"

  • 12:16

  • 7:58 Awesome Return!!!

  • My match today was just like this, but I can't defend like nadal

  • This match was better than the final when Federer and Nadal played LMFAO

  • nice catch from ballboy @ 3:32

  • Isner should have won this. Nadal is so fucking overrated only won 6 French Opens because of no competition.

  • @EliteMagnifique1

yes so the 5 times he did win it,he played federer and dropped 1 set to him 4 times and a humiltation in the 2008 final,4 games suck that cock muncher

  • @EliteMagnifique1 hahaha

  • poor federer fans, the swiss lost with the limited Isner,. where? in clay obviously.

  • What racket was isner using here

  • Comment removed

  • Isner did his bet, but the doped cheater was too much for him.

  • The doped Spaniard won again.

  • Como te cagaste Nadal, la concha de tu madre

  • From the 4th set onwards it was clear that Isner was tiring. Nadal had a couple of good returns to break in the beginning of the 5th, but apart from that, he was just letting Isner run until he couldn't anymore. The result was Isner rushing the net recklessly and, obviously, being passed.

But great fight from Isner, he had a shot at Rafa there. But not in a 4th or 5th set. He was already tired by then. Had Isner taken the 1st set to a tie-break, however, he could've won in straight sets.

  • A shame Isner didn't win!

  • lmao at the fist pumping from Isner's box whenever he does something good XD

  • i think if Isner would play this confident, then he would be a top 20 solid player.

  • love the forehand and backhand of nadal at 12:01 - 12:10

  • @J450NB3CK3R Talk about bad taste.

  • in my opinion if this match would ahve been played on any other surface Isner would have kick Nadal's butt...

  • if isner had any return to speak of he would of beaten rafa, rafa i think hit his most ever aces in a match,5 sets with isner on roland garros clay, murray beat him in straights in australia 2010(isners best ever start to a season) and 4 sets after murray lost his concentration after being 2-0 up and beat him in a tie break in the 4th ,isner had lost only 1 tie break in 14 in new york and won a 13 consecutive, those matches were returning masterclasses

  • no the best moment will be next year nadal will surpass borg and will be the best claycourt of all time no doubt about it. nadal ove ddjokovic in straigt sets. lol

  • Lol this crowd loved Isner and wanted him to win.

Even though Nadal has won RG for like 6 times, people still say Nadal vs Soderling 09 (and Fed winning) was the best moment in RG ever!

  • Isner has brains. He grabbed every opportunity to win. Nadal was too good at the end.

Giving credit to Isner is not enough. Rafa is ever so close to losing. I am no Isner or Nadal fan. Really, Isner did use drop shots and was not scared to go to net; he is not just a good server but also a great fighter.

  • @FlameJohn wich month could be the sunniest and clearly of the year in Paris?, could be May????... Thank you very much

  • Isner is SHIT. Such a bitch tennis player who relies purely on his serve. Without it, he's nothing.

  • @ThaMagikMan

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't drop a point to you or I.

  • @ThaMagikMan did isner break nadal serve? enough said.

  • @Mattslayerable yes. yes he did

  • @Mattslayerable yes, isner did break nadal's serve, please actually watch tennis instead of blindly commenting.

  • @TheRobertoRada Oi!, my comment is a question, I know Isner DID break nadals serve, which is why i responded as such to the guy who was insulting Isner's game saying that he rely's only on his serve.Look at the comment I replied to, then look at mine and you can work it out. so YOU dont comment mindlessly, without knowing everything. It can make you look like a fool.

  • @ThaMagikMan It's hard to smack talk someone who you probably couldn't ever beat.

  • @ThaMagikMan show us your game fucker

  • 9:26 What a ass ... :)

  • I wonder how far Isner would of made it without having to face Rafa? Cuz that was a pretty badass effort.

  • Yeah. But give the 6' 9'' American some credit. I remember this match vividly, because it happened after Nadal had pretty much dominated his first few opponents at the FO. Isner may have been a low seeded player, but he gave the world No. 1 a run for his money on the latter's surface of choice. Your comment seemed to imply that Nadal could have beaten him without breaking a sweat, which is absolute bull!

  • @BrianSou69 This was first round

  • @showbiz216 You're right! I guess my memory isn't as good as I thought. Still, Rafa's reputation on clay alone is enough to make it seem like he's riding a momentum wave of wins!

  • @BrianSou69 Can't dispute that. He is the King of Clay...but definitely not the King of Hard Courts....as he got whooped by Fed in London today...

  • Rafa should have gotten it done in straight sets. He let too many chances slip away in sets 2 and 3

  • @SteveAugeriRocks Don't be stupid. Isner outhit him in the second and third sets. And this is supposed to be Nadal's favorite surface...

  • This is Nadal's favorite surface, and what did I say that was stupid? Nadal was up a break in the second set and he had many break points in the third set that he let pass him by

  • Frustrating lack of hustle from isner. he's improved that way.

  • great quality !!!!

  • was so scared for rafa in this match, just happy he still won the title, VAMOS RAFA!!!!!

  • Isner did a great job in this match.

  • I can't believe John Isner took Rafa to five sets.

  • Very impressive net play from Isner, he usually shanks so many balls at the net

  • seems like Rafa dislikes high balls himself...

  • I wish Isner won this match to show Rafa fans that he ISN"T THE GOAT

  • Give it up to Isner the kid played with heart!!

  • Isner is a beast!

  • talk about mixing up your pitches. isner was great on serve in this match. its just that rafa is such a tough competitor

  • wtf isner whats with the random blue hat... awkss

  • Comment removed

  • @nelle069214 He he...hehehe...heehee...ha...hahaha...WHAHAHAHAHAHROFL.

  • @nelle069214 you genuinely believe that a player who is very one dimensional can win 7 matches in a row in a slam a player who is ranked like mid 20's in the world? he is 26 and has only won 3 atp 250 events sorry but you are deluded he will never win a slam

  • Thanks :)

  • Interesting match, I liked Isner's tactics

  • Great quality!!!
