  • Great!

  • @Aktanith: No, everyone has there own beliefs in what they put into music. For me it's 50% Work, 30% Love, 10% Faith, and 10% Art.

  • The best!!!!!!

  • Great Maestro, R.I.P. Old Friend...

  • VIVA, MAESTRO!

  • Pau Casals was the great cellist responsible for the recovery from forgetfullness of these 6 part cello solo suites during the 20th century

  • Mstislav Rostropovich, rest in peace master.

  • you only need love, if you have enough love then it is not work, because you are satisfying a need.

  • total irrelevance it's music not a philosophy stop trying to be a wise man

  • You need quite more than love..........10%art, 90% hard work

  • Isso eh vero

  • you need more, true, but don't rule out love

    5%art 10%love 85% dedicated hard work

    would be my list

  • I would love to play the cello like that, but I know that one day I would because I love The Cello with all my heart!!:D

    he's My Lover!!:P

  • I wish I could play like that its so amazing, I'm sure if I heard it in person I would be in tears.

  • Awesome, I love how the harmonic resonates so well at 0:15 I love this song.

  • esto es lo mejor algo que te deja sin palabras, Rostropovich est grand...

  • I get lessons from one of his disciples (Michael Gelfandbein) and the two of them sound almost exactly alike. I can only hope to reach HALF of what either of them accomplished in my lifetime.

  • God: I could listen to this 24-7 !! You know, when he played this, I was out chasin girls and drinkin bir and lintin to.. Rap ?. Where was I ? This is so wonderfull. It is so sad that his passing was burined in the NYT's. Long live R.P. We miss you ! Randy

  • @reast4819 LOL WERE YOU STILL DRUNK WHEN YOU WROTE THIS COMMENT ??

  • 2:17 and 3:07 - The most beautiful thing I've ever seen on a cello piece! Incredible :D

  • what a beautiful and rich cello sound and no nonsence performance.

  • @michaharan That's what I say, sober feeling to his playing.

  • Amazing! to have been there... to have heard him play while yet among us...

  • Slava! The world is bereft without your talent. I will miss your playing, your conducting, but most of all your inspiration.
