  • bill walsh look like george washington

  • @targetvideo1 This Sam Spence song definitely has the "British pastoral symphony" influence. Listen to the finale of Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Pastoral Symphony" (Symphony #3) as an example. BTW, thanks a lot for this.

  • they released this song plus many others on a box set a few years ago...have to admit this is one of my favorites of all of them as well...they used to always pair this with the slo-mo zoom on the spiraling ball before it met the hands of Branch, Walker, Swann, Pearson, Hayes, Carmichel, Burrough, Joiner, etc...

  • This has to be my all-time favorite NFL Films song =]

I'm still looking for "To Catch the Wind" though if anyone

has it. i used to have the original 4 NFL Films 33 1/3 music

records B4 someone tossed them. ~sigh~ They were $6

each at the time!!! Go Eagles, and Tim Tebow [and Colt

    McCoy]  =]

  • A STINKING slideshow??

  • Sam's best song ever!

  • At 1:47....NOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

  • Bobby Bryants' shocking interception and consequent TD return in the 73' NFC Championship Game. Steps in front of Bob Hayes and runs it back 63 yards , putting the game out of reach AND getting my beloved Vikings back in the Superbowl....Stupenduosly glorious !!!

  • @6400az I feel for Vikings and Bills fans maybe one of you guys can use this when you get your Super Bowl win.....and yes, Sam's best in my view, though so many good ones, they pulled epic "March to the Trenches" i had faved...

  • @irish89055

Thanks, but this track is strickly for the old timers. If the Vikings ever win one, it'll have to be with another track.

This one must remain in it's given era.

  • Nice job here !!One of the most beautifull tracks of NFL Films. Two harmonies being played simoultaneously.

However; this music is synonomous with the NFL of the late 60's up to the mid 70's. Just an opinion is all, but the see modern day players juxtaposed to Rainbows in the Endzone is like seeing Glenn Miller in a rap video. They just don't go together.

  • I have that Sports Illustrated at .48 if any Namath fan wants it...

  • found it ! Yeah I was a kid and took a liking to this song...go vikings. Thanks for the post

  • Joe Namath coming in against the 49ers at old Shea Down 24 -7. Monster comeback and fell one TD short. The music fit so well on NFL films..

  • @robphilll22 the use of this music to NFL films for a comeback esp when winning a title game was genius and glorious NFL films were always class.... enjoy this until they have it pulled...

  • I remember this soundtrack from watching NFL Films show This Week In The NFL on SCN in Panama. Very lovely music. Even Bill Conti would be impressed.

  • Of all the great Sam Spence music that has accompanied NFL films, Rainbows to the End Zone has always been my favorite tune. Listening to it, you really get a sense of the football sailing majestically through the air, into a receiver's hands.

  • Grand, magnificent and stirring music. Thanks for posting it on YouTube!

  • I just typed it in to see what i could get...WOW!!! THANKS!!!!!....to someone who has seen 95 percent of what's here!!!

  • the great music of sam spence inspired many backyard triumphs and glories in my own fertile 11 year old imagination. thanks for posting!!!!
