Hi, just wanted to put the word out. I want to purchase a Steinway, Bechstein, or Bosendorfer, at least 6 feet long.
My budget is $5000 CDN including delivery. I dont mind if asthetically its seen better days however i do need the insides ie tight tuning pins*block to be for the most part ship shape since I will be playing it often. Im in Quebec.

to be frank, steinway doesn't really sound special at all. they're just like oriental pianos on steroids, they don't have a particularly appealing sound all their own.
this is kinda spooky....or rather very atmospheric....

Play Förster Pianos from Germany, they have very impressiv sound character.
compare with Steinway&Sons, i would rather choose these models by förster to play with

worldlinerai, its not about the bench, u can always buy a new one, its all about the sound of the piano and how it plays
i like steinway & sons best.. then fazioli

I find Schimmel has a very special sound, that's why I love it ^^, even if it doesn't have the quality of Fazioli...

Imperial Bosendorfer is the most badass piano on the planet.

I like the Bosendorfer the best. It seems to have the most comfortable bench.
