  • most dark. blah blah..stanely kubrick the genius... etc.

    so sick of this

how come when a good book is turned into a good movie (by pretty much copying the book (not every single detail, but the entire concept and MOST scenes) we always see the director/producer get credit as amazing and revolutionary?. shouldn't that go to the book writer?

frget it, don't even give him half the credit, just credit him for the IDEA so that everyone knows that drector simply put the writer's vision into a movie

  • @DeliciousPoop I do agree with what you said, but like his other adaptations, Kubrick added devices and techniques to the plot.

  • I hate how internet bad asses always want to act as if this movie wasn't ever controversial just because they've seen worse. Upon it's release, A Clockwork Orange was given an X rating due to it's graphic rape scenes and murders. This was released in the early 70s for gods sake.

  • one of the most controversial movies? try "A Serbian Film" that shit will leave you breathless.

  • it takes a real genius with loads of talent to make my sympathise, identify and feel bad for a crazy, sadistic kid like this, but this masterpiece of a movie somehow pulled it off. and i apsolutely love the strange visuals and the camera angles are neraly perfect and very artisticaly pleasing adding to the movie's disturbing, yet fun nature. easily one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

  • @spicyrulz101 when it came out no one had seen such ultra violence and rape scenes, that's why it's very grotesque.

  • I absolutely love this film. Entirely brilliant, hilarious, and horrifying from start to end.

  • @SagaciousSilence Hilarious??? I mean how?

  • @SagaciousSilence Maybe only one scene watching someone getting killed by a big penis.

  • People say how "disturbing" and "grotesque" it was when really it wasnt bad at all lol. maybe a little awkward when your watching with some1 else but he rele only kills 1 person....

  • This movie was like a brain fuck

  • @SoulReaperNinja17 In the time that I wrote that comment, I have both seen the movie and read the amazing book. THATS WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT SCENE??? I though he just like, hit her or something. thats pretty disturbing. The book was so awsome and made way more sense!

  • I have a question. Ive never seen the movie but i really want to because its like really freaky. But is it violent? like bloody or gorey? *shiver* I really cant watch stuff like that. Is it bad???

  • @CitrusLily10 To me it was, rape scenes upset me.

  • Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange mixed together... now that will be one fucked up warp mind blending film that will destroy fragile minds

  • He does have a human trait, he likes Ludwig Van.

  • @dlotable I was just about to say this. For anyone who is a lover of music, when he was unable to listen to the 9th, no matter what he's done, no matter how sinister the character may be, the idea that something as beautiful as music could no longer hold its effect on you, perhaps even sicken you, it's enough to provoke an emotional reaction from me at the very least. There is human nature there, it's just not obvious ;)

  • Wow not many reviews up on youtube. The first time I decided to watch it was when I saw Nostalgia Critic recommend it. Probably my 2nd or 1st favorite movie. Great review.

  • Loved the movie, now i'm reading the book

  • Malcolm Mcdowel rocks!

  • fight club love that movie

  • Why do people always gotta highlight controversy..?

    This sucked... ass!

  • this movie mind raped me, my dad, and his friends

  • i totally agree with your review towards most things, but I loved the main character and was immersed in the plot in that I related to him, in some aspects, I'm not exactly violent or a rapist but I love him in most ways.

  • @thefantasticfilmfan This reviev keept me from thinking that all English langueg users are really really uneducated becose hearing other rievievs they didnt even understand what the movie is about O.o A clockwork orange is a movie for people with adlest an avarage iq

  • @F1brawfa If yer spelling is anything to go by, that certainly rules you out.. :/

  • I'm 13 and nobody In my school has a clue what "A Clockwork Orange" is or who "Stanley Kubrick" is everybody should see A Clockwork Orange It's An Amazing Film, instead of this Twighlight & Prince of Persia crap!

Great Review too I like the whole "Fight Club" thing going on there too another great film, I think you have a great sense in films and how you review them is also great, and I agree with thefantasticfilmfan you're a very talented film critic if not one of the best on Utube Keep it up!

  • @SilverHammock I'm 15 and when I was 13 it was my favorite movie too! Still is.

  • @MysteryUpgrade yeah and when you get to 20 you will understan that you shuldnt watch the movie as a kid cos your head hurts ass hell now you will see

  • @F1brawfa Um, I know adults who've watched this as a kid and still love the movie.

Also, it's "understand", "shouldn't", and the last part of your statement didn't even make sense.

I've seen almost every controversial Malcolm McDowell film from the 60s-80s, including Caligula (which was absolutely horrid). I think I know what I'm doing, but thanks for the advice. :)

  • @MysteryUpgrade Sorry im not American so my English cant be the best your read.My point is parents dont want their kids to watch movies like the Clockwork Orange not becose their are scarry but becose of the mental psychical problems that can came later witch age. I know many people with psychical problems when they got to 20+ after playing games like fallout 1 and watching x rated movies as 10 year olds

  • @F1brawfa Sorry for what I said about grammar, I didn't know you didn't have good English.

My point is that I understand that this film will change your mindset, no matter what age you are. And I'm sorry, but that comment you made about kids saying that "they're not scared" is silly. This film is a masterpiece and I believe that just because you're younger, if you can comprehend it, go ahead. I don't think it's going to ruin your mind. Some people who've had problems, maybe. But I think I'm good

  • @F1brawfa you just said what i wanted to say. this is not an age appropriate movie for 13-16 year old kids at all

  • @ImTylerDurden99 yeah kids usualy watch adult movies becose they say "they not scared" but its nots "scare" what is bad for them its psychical that can come later with age

  • @ImTylerDurden99 I was referred to it by a friend when I was 13. I love this film. Not because it's not "age appropriate" but because it was a masterpiece. I think I'm psychologically OK, thank you.

  • @ImTylerDurden99 i'm 12 and i understood the film and enjoyed it.

hey just cause im 12 doesn't mean im immature.

this is actually one of my favorite movies of all time next to donnie darko.

    Great review, also.

  • @legorocks3 I guarantee that if you look back on this film a few years hence, you'll realise that you didn't quite understand completely..

  • @f0reverdirt ...Maybe so..?

But it doesn't mean I don't love this movie.

  • just saw this movie LATESTRELEASE MOVIES -dot-com

  • Good review for a good movie that loved it scince I was four.

  • I personally found this movie rather overrated. The original novel did a much better job at making Alex relateable and portraying a grittier image of society.

  • @Redrally oh, so you find a fucking psychopath relatable?

  • I like the movie but i hate the fact that stanley kubrick changed the ending.

  • AMAZING MOVIE, but I have to say I enjoyed the book much better. I don't mean to disrespect anyone, but I really liked the ending of the book better, and the book had a bunch of very small details that the movie didn't have. Great movie though

  • With respect, this is a well presented review but it is no more than froth. Several comments caught my attention. Kubrick made the film, but the events in the film, the story arc and characters are all created by Anthony Burgess, not Kubrick. You say too you don't engage with the characters as if Kubrick had forgotten to include that notion for you. He was not trying to create men you 'like. Ultimately, it is supposed to be a reflection of our world, our lives. We are not supposed to 'like' it.

  • appreciate the compliment. i feel like i spoke way too fast in this review, but it's one of my better scripts honestly. thanks again man

  • Funny that you can relate to Alex becasue you are some much like him. Great review. Now drink you mike and go sing in the rain.

  • I have heard of it but I have not seened it. Definetely will chick this one out. Good Review once again. Man! you most write some A+ Essays lol.

  • yeah, im actually an english major and i relied on my essay grades in 101 and 102 because i never studied for the tests, but typically speaking, i write these reviews in about 15-30 minutes, and they are generally about a page and a half to three pages long. i could put more time into them, but im too lazy lol.

  • LoL So your saying you dont actually put an effort. Shit I wish I was good at writting lol. I am the worst essay person ever I and the fact that I hate writing one dosent help neither.

  • haha yeah that's pretty much what i'm saying lol but we are all good at something, and while i may be decent at composition, im sure there is something you're good at that im not. besides, most people hate writing anyways, especially guys

  • Dude I love Clockwork Orange, definately dressed like the gang for halloween my senior year. lol

  • that would be a great costume from a great movie

  • Another awesome review..I haven't seen this in a long time.

  • oh snap, 6 double 5 321! nice homage to my name my man. agreed with the review for the most part, only thing is, how can you really relate to a psychotic character like 6 double 5 321? unless youre as freaky as him, i wouldnt expect you to relate lol, but still a really good review. one of the best movies ever. Love it!
