Ive just realized that Datsik has got it made. He stays behind the scenes but goes to some big events. DubNations events and just was part of I.D festival. Mixes with tons of artists, probably the most I've seen, and has a one of a kinda sound. Hits you hard but with lots of wobbles. His name says it. Thats sick

i think the don of substep should be someone who makes massive tunes, knows how to mix properly and knows how to please crowds. datsik is definitely all of these things. excision plays more jump up as well as dubstep though. Ecision my favourite. Skream makes shit tunes

Why are people hating on other types of dubstep? dubstep is dubstep.. people make it different on how they feel, Datsik and Excision have made dubstep popular in the states, with there sub-genre (Robostep) but i gotta admit Skream, Benga, N-type are the founders of dubstep, but there style is more mimalist and subby! whilst producers now a days are produceing more 'Filthy' stuff' I spose some dubstep tracks nowadays are wack and puts shame on top producers, Personnaly i like any sort of dubstep

Lolz. People like Skream, benga, caspa, artwork, etc are, yes the founders. But In the current scene and in the North American dubstep scene Datsik and Excision are indeed the "dons", as they have crafted and started a whole generation of industrial, aggressive robostep, to the point that now many of us find producers like skream and benga to be boring. Magnetic Man is the shit, but by themselves their music is the foundation for dubstep but it's boring. Datsik wins.
