i love ufc undisptued it amazing but so is this game the transitions and grappaling is so much more realistic in mma but the striking is better in ufc
I only watched this video because of Olivia Munn. UFC and EA MMA have a long way to go. I really hope EA doesn't lock this up the way they have the NFL and Boxing games. Atleast we have some kind of choice with this, it's either this or the THQ game. Can't say the same for Madden or Fight Night, we're pretty much at EA's mercy with those since they have all the licenses and if they decide to make a crappy football or boxing game, guess what? We have to deal with it. But yeah, long way to go.
@elliotb92 the demo wasn't the only reason it failed one of the biggest things that killed it was the more strategic gameplay that hardcore gamers like and lacking the arcade feel that casuals like and the bigger reason is it doesn't have the UFC roster

@legend799 if you like ground and pound, yeah, if you want a game that feelslike a real fight, nope. EA MMA is extremely realistic, has a great career mode, amazing online, and a super smooth stand up. The cons are, the create afighter isnt really in depth in terms of sliders...and the ground knockouts arent satisfying, however the kos tkos subs and desicions are actually....jizz tastic. plus u can face stomp.

If you like to pound the crap out of opponents, and don't really care about grappling, get UFC. The grappling is very technical, so I don't recommend getting it unless you have enough time to spend learning how to do it.
EA MMA, has more simplified grappling, and the striking is more realistic. I highly recommend this for beginners. It's less technical than UFC, but it's just as fun.
I'd get both, but if you have to choose, EA is the better choice.
@myusernameisgood410 i'm like you my favorite MMA's are from UFC Lyoto machida BJ Penn Chuck Liddell etc. UFC 2010 is more of an arcade type MMA game the punches are pretty quick and don't really have alot of realistic feel to them although the game is more ALIVE and makes you feel like your actually in a real match while EA mma is a little too quiet and more feeling to the fighting UFC 2010 is more Brutal face paced and alive while EA MMA is more smoother realistic and basic I myself prefer UFC
@DSXentertainment Its hard to become good at MMA but once you are a solid fighter the battles are intense and they feel devastating. Standup striking is best off counters. On an experienced online opponent the arcade feeling is never present on standup...but it is on the ground. KOs and TKOs are incredibly brutal in comparison to UFC and submissions are more diverse, not in number, but in execution. Oh if you have live you can download every UFC fighter btw.

I wish people would stop talking crap about Fedor. He is probably the best fighter in the world. The UFC is not good enough for Fedor, if Brock Lesnar wants to fight him maybe he should fight in strikeforce. I am a Brock Lesnar fan but also a big Fedor fan and honestly I think Brock would get destroyed in the first 30 sec.-2 min. in the first round.
This game looks (not saying it is) like the wwe series. You press a button and do a move that kinda looked acted out (Millers kick on the beginning) UFC looks more in depth to the fighting. But idk I've haven't played either. I'm just debating on what to buy.

Now I´m going to buy this game for the fact it´s a great start for a franchise and for a fact it´s a statement for international MMA, a sport free from the chains of a limited corporation, unable to make any international and company exceeding matchmaking. UFC is a great company as soon as it starts doing copromotion with other companies and stops all the dirty and mafialike businessmanship.
UFC is just one american company with just a limited talent considering the whole world of mixed martial arts. All the hype around Brock Lesnar, a gifted athlete and a very good wrestler but not anything near absolute power within heayweight MMA! 'The Octagon' is a registered trademark of UFC, and no other MMA company can use that name or an actual octagon cage (8-sides) in their events. Besides.. the cage that is in your EA Sports MMA video is actually a circle.

This game is not that great at all. The gameplay is not great at all in the octagon UFC's is better! Create a character sux, better selection but not very advanced at all. It's crap. The entrances are cool but very short. This game is not worth $60 and UFC undisputed is better. They both got their ups and downs but EA sports MMA is on a DOWN for the gameplay!
@kmjansen83 You need to decide that for yourself, I've told someone else already that you're going to have EA fans saying THQ sucks, and THQ fans saying EA sucks. So you can't really get a good answer here, but in my own personal opinion, i thought Undisputed2010 was better, but i got EA's game anyway. They're both good games in their own ways, I just think there are more flaws with EA MMA.
EA will not get far without the support of the UFC. it probably doesnt help that the UFC hates EA now... Dana White has forbidden his fighters from agreeing to be in EA MMA games, and that will always be a limiting factor for EA. EA has Fedor, Cung Le, Shields, Couture...more than half thier fighters are scrubs. ufc will simply put out a UFC 2011 with similar improvements in graphics and animations, only with UFC fighters.
This game is UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sickest MMA ever!!! Graphics are amazing, and gameplay is just like the real thing. This is no comparison to UFC game. @SubMachine91 Well, the gameplay yes. The demo didnt include the full walk-ins or the announcers. I mean its all about opinion. The career mode in the game is awsome. So realistic, and the more you train and the more fights you win, people from around the world invite you to their camps to train and learn new moves. Its really fun, but i guess its your decision if you want the spend the money for the game. I personally am in love with the game.

@SubMachine91 Well their is two types of controller options that you can choose from. The classic, or the new one. Using the new controlls (which i find alot better than the classic, but harder to master) when your on your back and the computer wants to advance you press circle (if you have it for the PS3 - which i do in this case) Make sure you dont button mash, and for you to advance, you press up with the joy stick and X.

@hamza1991 the UFC is a league with MMA fighters, there are many variations for example the british league is called BAMMA (british assosiation of mixed martial arts) MMA is a fight style and the UFC is a Fighting league with mma fighter i hope this makes sense
i got the demo and this game is so addictive the knockouts are real with them goin all stiff and shit. once you learn how to combo the stand up is crazy. i still dont have ground game down but from what i can do this shit is tight. im addicted to the demo. ive already played the demo 10 times more than ufc 09 or '10. even the blood effects are better i got to get this shit on tuesday but it will probally be sold out for atleast two weeks
@BoyzLightenKingz the roster is on wikipedia and by more fighters not only are there more quality fighters in 2010, but it also has more fighters quantity wise. EA has a sick looking submission system though

The graphic is good but the gameplay MY GOD it's SUCK!!!
I've played it in legend difficulty but it was like playing in easy mode,
it's too easy to bring down (tko) your opponent.
The tutorial is really not helping at all.
p.s: I BUY/PLAY THE FINISH PRODUCT not the Demo.

This game is not that great at all. The gameplay is not great at all in the octagon UFC's is better! Create a character sux, better selection but not very advanced at all. It's crap. The entrances are cool but very short. This game is not worth $60 and UFC undisputed is better. They both got their ups and downs but EA sports MMA is on a DOWN for the gameplay!

@kmjansen83 You need to decide that for yourself, I've told someone else already that you're going to have EA fans saying THQ sucks, and THQ fans saying EA sucks. So you can't really get a good answer here, but in my own personal opinion, i thought Undisputed2010 was better, but i got EA's game anyway. They're both good games in their own ways, I just think there are more flaws with EA MMA.

EA will not get far without the support of the UFC. it probably doesnt help that the UFC hates EA now... Dana White has forbidden his fighters from agreeing to be in EA MMA games, and that will always be a limiting factor for EA. EA has Fedor, Cung Le, Shields, Couture...more than half thier fighters are scrubs. ufc will simply put out a UFC 2011 with similar improvements in graphics and animations, only with UFC fighters.

This game is UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sickest MMA ever!!! Graphics are amazing, and gameplay is just like the real thing. This is no comparison to UFC game. This game is the real definition of TRUE MMA, for all REAL MMA FANS. Their so much depth in this video, i promise all you guys that you will not be dissapointed. Of course theres always haters out there who will critizize no matter what. Download the demo, i promise you will want the game!!!!

@SubMachine91 Well, the gameplay yes. The demo didnt include the full walk-ins or the announcers. I mean its all about opinion. The career mode in the game is awsome. So realistic, and the more you train and the more fights you win, people from around the world invite you to their camps to train and learn new moves. Its really fun, but i guess its your decision if you want the spend the money for the game. I personally am in love with the game.

@SubMachine91 Well their is two types of controller options that you can choose from. The classic, or the new one. Using the new controlls (which i find alot better than the classic, but harder to master) when your on your back and the computer wants to advance you press circle (if you have it for the PS3 - which i do in this case) Make sure you dont button mash, and for you to advance, you press up with the joy stick and X.

The UFC games are pretty terrible all-around, mostly because the controls suck and it feels like a half-finished game...not fun at all to play.
I haven't played the EA game, but it can't be worse than UFC Undisputed, and I hope it actually feels like MMA instead of a stunted approximation.

@hamza1991 the UFC is a league with MMA fighters, there are many variations for example the british league is called BAMMA (british assosiation of mixed martial arts) MMA is a fight style and the UFC is a Fighting league with mma fighter i hope this makes sense

i got the demo and this game is so addictive the knockouts are real with them goin all stiff and shit. once you learn how to combo the stand up is crazy. i still dont have ground game down but from what i can do this shit is tight. im addicted to the demo. ive already played the demo 10 times more than ufc 09 or '10. even the blood effects are better i got to get this shit on tuesday but it will probally be sold out for atleast two weeks

@omgstoptakingnames well, even that statement is wrong... the biggest fighter in japan (akiyama) has already joined the ufc... japan also has several other superstars in the ufc, like yushin okami. also, the best brazilian fighters all fight for the ufc. there are simply too many to name. the ufc is LOADED with talented brazilians. the only fighters that will have any appeal in this game are fedor, couture, and cung le.
