  • This is a direct quote from Jesse:

"If you want to know about an Opivy reunion, take the problems from that common rider bit and multiply it by about 2,000, bring in LAWYERS and record companies, interrupt six or seven lives, and also add the factor of putting a band that never belonged in a big rock club in a one to two thousand seat joint. Oh yeah plus doing it without involving Clear Channel or other right wing fronts. So will it happen? The most honest answer is probably not."

    *When he re

  • Happy Skanksgiving everyone!

  • PsychobillyCreeper's right. music isn't about making money but it's not about NOT making money either.

  • get skanking!!!!

  • this brings up good memories of being young, a little stupid and having fun all the time!

  • I can't believe this has even survived. Thank you to whoever preserved this!

  • Thumbs up for greatness period

  • I dig this song and know practically ALL the words, WOOHOO!! Punk skankin' rock!!

  • i swear if a faggy band like your chemical dicksuck covers this i can't be held accountable for my actions

  • @shrapnel762 Gay Rude Boys my friend. check it out

  • Tim did not sell out. The man is ALIVE and still making music and making money doing it but that is not selling out. His message and his music remains true and the fact that under it all he is a f'ing brilliant businessman takes nothing away. Let the dominoes fall has its weak spots bit overall is absolutely true to Tim's music and message, those who want to tear it apart whatever... saw them on tour for the album and it was great to see both old punks and young kids totally pumped and moshing,

  • @kenzadelphia I agree with you there dude. I remember when the first Rancid record came out. All the punks in Minneapolis shredded them, calling them sellouts and shit. I bought into it for a while because they weren't as good as Op Iv. Then I heard Time Bomb and shit my pants. Over the years I see that Tim has proven to have a better job than me, and that's all. Everyone grows up whether punks like it or not, and so far, I don't see him performing at the Super Bowl, or on Top 40.Not a sellout:)

  • @millerfat exactly, and if your musics so good that your making money off it then you cant be doing wrong by allowing success, who would take shit over riches just to be legit? none of these arm chair critics thats for sure. you can stay within your group and still be good enough to be recognized by a broader crowd. theres a great difference between mainstream commercial shit thats produced solely for money, and real music that just so happens to make money cuz its that fuckin good.

  • all musicians have something to learn from op ivy man. the same way we can all learn something from the beatles, the stones, james brown, etc. these guys were brilliant.

  • thjank you so so so very much for posting this. this literally made me so fucking happy.

  • Sound System<3

  • Best band i have ever listend to. If only they got back togethor and did one last tour. That would be the greatest

  • oPeRaTiOn iVy fUcKiN' aMaZiNg!!!!!!!!

  • op ivy changed the way i think about music. rip op ivy

  • love op. ivy

  • op ivy rulz!!!!!! tim armstrong is a god........

  • OPERATION IVY...

    need i say more?!

  • kick ass in his purest way!

  • i wish i was at this show

  • best song by op ivy!

  • DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS

  • What I would give to see them live...

  • hahaha. yeah if your six and watch disney channel and cant take the deep messages in OI's songs.

  • r u crazy?

  • your fuckin kiddin bout jonas brothers right?

  • lol yea don't worry, i'm in my own ska band.

  • I've got pickle juice flyin' off my feet!

  • no matter what, where ever i go and start talking to people about music and someone mentions operation ivy will both say NO WAY!! you like Oeration ivy?? thats so cool!! and then start talking about our favorite songs by them and this one always is mentiond with out fail

  • nah dudes selling out is what AFI did how they switched genres for more music to that emo bull shit

in my opinion operation ivy is way better than rancid, even though they started rancid i think its way better

  • I LOVE OP IVY S MUCH

  • i think anything tim Armstrong does is sweet man

  • Everyone talks about operation ivy like its all over but Rancid is so amazing they kept a lot of the signiture sound and even improved on some things I love operation ivy but if you really miss them so much listen to Rancid

  • dude! awesome video!

    love Operation Ivy

  • W T FFFFFFF?!?!!??

this is such a good fucking video, sound is superb and shit!!

    I FUCKING LOVE OPIV.

    fuucckkkkk, i want them backkkkkkk.

  • man, it was at the drive in and operation ivy that kept me alive... :D :D

  • Op Ivy opened my mind.

    I'm forever in debt.

  • Haha skinny Matt Freeman! Classic awesomeness.

  • tim hasnt sold out....theres nothing wrong with making money outta music...so long as you're not exploiting people and so long as its real and not manufactured

  • @PsychobillyCreeper anybody who says tim has sold out is a fool. he didnt sell out. he made his OWN record company and produced music through that. That is his own working. its not like he sold his music to some major studio

  • @Gullatine5 fuckin a.

  • @PsychobillyCreeper it gets tiring hearing about Rancid being "Sellouts" ... you make good points. Cheers!

  • @PsychobillyCreeper Rancid was the first real band I got into. As much as I like them, they sold out. There new shit is just shit. I don't know anyone who likes their last cd that even knew that they had more then one. The first cd is where it is at, everything after that is just plain sell outs. It would be nice to actually see tim play guitar sometime at a live show. Now lars does everything and controls the band.

  • @lilsammywasapunkrock what you gotta remember is that they arent kids anymore. they've matured along with their sound, fair enough if you dont like the music they made on their last album, but you cant tell me they're sell outs because their sound has changed.

  • @PsychobillyCreeper There sound didn't evolve, it changed. It hasn't been about music for quite some time. Its obvious to anyone who has listened to all of their cd's. The simple fact that you cannot call them punk anymore, speaks louder then I could. And I am not just trashing them. They are, and will always be one of my favorite bands.

  • @lilsammywasapunkrock i have listened to all their records and it aint obvious to me. they've said they write music for how they feel at the time, hense rancid v being so much more "angry" than life wont wait and wolves.

there's no way they're sell outs (if you're understanding of sell outs is the same as mine), they've just changed...most bands do, some fans like it some dont. but thats what makes a band, a band

  • I was at this show- great band and great times!!!!

  • 1:39 best part

  • its so fuckin good this song!!

  • jessie's other band blatz is pretty sick too

  • @NunWithAnUzi

not that it matters, but that's a different jesse,

michaels was in big rig after this, then common rider, now classics of love...great stuff.

    blatz was pretty funny...

  • together with the ramones the only bands i can think of that i rlly want to reunite and see live ^^

  • even only one of the ramones are still alive. not even an original one, iirc.

  • XD true

  • isn't amazing to see how the lengendary bands like Op Ivy and the misfits had SHIT amps and equipment. the average high school band has better equipment these days. sounds like the bass amp was dead or something... maybe it's just he video camera of the time too. still, it's amazing how little they had to work with.

  • yeah i no even at rancid shows then tims amp was always ringin and shit

  • what size of amp did tim use? a half stack? or just like 2x12 or something

  • hell yeah sacramento right here

  • yea for sacto!!

  • too bad they split up...they were sooo good. Operation Ivy is by far my favorite band, then the misfits, then red hot chili peppers (not stadium arcadium)

  • Wow. So awesome. Thanks for posting this vid.

  • Who sings the main parts. (not chorus) is it jesse? can't tell... =[

  • Hmm isnt it Jesse ? dont rly think its tim !

  • its jesse cuz u can see tim jumping round the stage like usual

  • i thin kthe videos just abit out of time with the music. get the hell bach

  • i thought it was tim. surprising yes, that tim can sing that fast.

    so maybe its jesse

  • jessee

  • They are the best

    danm i miss CA

  • jeese n matt r e best!!

  • nothing better than live shit!!!

  • what a fabulous blast from da past! :)

  • This clip is from the River Theater show in Guerneville, not the Sacramento show.
