I remember being in class in JR high (hillside) and the windows would start shaking, after a few seconds we whould hear/feel the percussion from engine tests.....this was so normal our teachers would pause and pick up right where they left off.....we used to tease our friends who lived up in the knolls that they were nuclear babies....when you are a kid you find out these things and it doesn't mean so much and then you grow up and people start to die...it's so sad

Naive people always get preyed upon when the circumstances allow. You can't really blame this directly on 'The Government', but why would anyone ever trust the government with their own safety, anyway? You have to use your own mind and not idly trust others to protect you. How nice it is that stuff like this is more rare in this internet age. Except in most of the rest of the world where they use people like paper towels.

I'm sorry, I know it sounds cold and heartless. I do feel for these people-- especially their families who had to suffer through their deaths. But you can't expect your government to protect you against stuff like this, no matter what government it is. In Russia these people wouldn't even be on youtube. That's the beauty of the US.
