  • I wonder what a glock would look like slow blued?

  • i like how he randomly tilts his head in the beginning...

  • It's sad you're not shipping to Canada !

  • How does the slow rust blueing compare to hot blueing in terms of durability?

  • zo wazt booing did he say?

  • @glynamus slow rust blueing

  • This guy is like the Martha Stewart of guns. He's awesome.

  • i guess im going to hell becouse i cant stand him. lol

  • I made a cabinet for slow rust bluing,I use salt water to get it to rust,of course the way I do it takes about two weeks but it looks really nice if I do say so myself.Another way to do it is as youre gun naturally gets spots of rust only oil it,never sand it just oil,and in about 10 or 12 years youll have an excellent example of slow rust bluing which is my favorite finish.

  • I'm going to blue my moped.

  • AND THATS THE WAY IT IS LMFAO

  • Slow rust is slow

  • I like nice people :O) Not some trigger crazy back woods sniper thinking the government wants to take his gun away. Or thoes God aweful people who say "I got this and that in case the crap goes down." You know, Glenn Beck supporter basically. Or I love it when they say how jets are spaying the skies with chemtrials. OMG Koo Koo.

  • @FOXnewsAlien "OMG Koo Koo."...and the people that think Glenn Beck and FOX News are conspiring against them! They always allude to it no matter what the topic at hand is... Obsessed!

  • @FOXnewsAlien stereotype much?

  • @FOXnewsAlien You're not sane, are you.

  • How does this affect the rifling inside of the barrel? How do you protect the rifling and chamber?

  • hmm... i can use that for carbon knifes. just a thought

  • Polishing is not required for rust bluing and is a waste of time. Slow rust and hot water(Belgian) bluing etch the surface of the metal giving a finish hard to obtain with caustic or hot bluing. Prep your parts with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper if needed otherwise just hot soap bathe the parts and apply, the Nitric/Hydrochloric acid mix will do the surface prep for you as you apply, bath and card.

This stuff is very very tough and will likely outlast the life of the parts to which it is applied

  • @peicemakerSS22 thats the way it is

  • Outstanding

  • If you are a true cheap so and so like me, build mostly air tight rust box and after protecting the bore, place in rust box with small beaker of HNO3 70%. This fumes the parts in nitric acid and I don't have to worry about streaks in the finnish. If one insist on solutions the nitric acid with a touch of sulfuric acid and iron dissolved until it won't take any more. The joys of a college chemistry education and no chemistry job. Cool video though I had not thought of using BLO to cure the fin.

  • Great job!!!

  • wonderful finish.

  • When you're done blueing it, do you ever polish it. Or is that part of the point of blueing?

  • : )

  • It's so great with such good tools.
