@subwooferking666 It had nothing to do with tread on the tires. He had no snorkle and drowd that jeep. Once he had no power the water turned him and flipped him. He had the right angle , just sucked water and hydro locked the beast. Hell that water was not to deep, but attemting that, and angling nose up stream with out a snorkle, was stupid. I have crossed swollen creeks like that, but with a water proofed ignition, and a raised intake, and had no problem with street tires.

The Jeep wasn't 'tall' enough for this kind of crossing, the fast water + that much of the body being down in the water is like a sail in the wind...stupid move in the part of the driver. Even the taller Toyota was getting pushed and it only really had just the tires for the water to push against..
