I have a large collection of 1/700 scale ships, but I wish the main Japanese firms done models of the California and Colorado class ships and also more RN ships, like the County class Heavy cruisers, Town class light cruisers and the Queen Elizabeth and Revenge class battleships.

@militariacollector1 Yes. I used rods and on some I made a tree for them to look like they were grouped up.

@hoagie186 No paticular name for that one, but it's a Fletcher Class Destroyer.

I love the models and realistic wake of the ships. Was this done using resin with paint added or ?

@beachnikk The blue water is celluclay and then painted. The Arizona was a product called Realistic Water. Resin? maybe.

Excellent stuff.. I'm particulary impressed by the seascape of the first diorama.. a realistic sea is not easy to make.. :)

This was done with a product called Celuclay. You can get it at any Michaels store. I mix it with enough water to make it a little softer than dough and I spread it around with the palm of my hand. I let it sit in the oven on 100 Deg. for about 15 Mins. Let it cool for awhile. Note- You must already have the size of your base picked out and it must be able to fit in the oven. Take your waterline plate and press it into the base and take a razor knife and carve out the wake. Remove plate & bake
