  • @cooliodude012 same happened to me when I played this...

  • Great!

  • wait...is that a photo of beethoven?

  • Furtwaegler 's version is the incomparable version . No metric tempo but the real pulse of music instead. see video: revolution of Beethoven -Egmont ( with furtwaegler)

  • @thajoker2991 LOL, rolling with beethoven

  • Egmont overture; Better than the 9th!!

  • I simply love this piece! you can feel the history in it if you know what i mean. =D

  • 6.51 - 8.41 = no words to describe such highness!

  • who's in the hell didnt like this!!

  • 2:51 gives me goosebumps

  • i love 0:00

  • What i love about Beethoven is that most of his music symbolizes the hardships he went through being a musician, the most obvious one being that he was completely deaf by age 50, and even still he went on to compose his most memorable pieces. This song shows that in that it begins somewhat dark and gloomy and ends in a triumphant and happy manner, the man was truly a master of his craft.

  • @tjryser1 According to my music history professor, the first eight notes of the Fifth (and we all know how THAT goes) represent Fate saying to Beethoven,"I'm going to throw every possible obstacle in your path and see what you do with it."

  • @Capcoor Truly an incredible thing for a man to do simply with music and no words isnt it?

  • @tjryser1 It is.That, and the second movement of the 7th.

  • Hungary; October 23 - November 4, 1956

    Requiescat In Pace

  • Absolutamente... ¡¡¡MARAVILLOSA!!!

  • I love the part around 5:00

  • A question: That can't actually be an early photograph of beethoven himself?

I thought the earliest photos and portraits we have are from about a decade after his death!?

  • i like horse

  • some people miss the 60s. I miss the 1600s

  • @ordude123 1700s you mean,

  • @GodOfUnbelief SOme other great symphonies were composed in the 1800s...

  • music for heart and spirit relax

  • EGY HETE EZT HALLGATOM!!!!:D:D

  • RIP the Heroes of 56' revolution

  • @mommyslittlemonsta which revolution?

  • @MrMisharos /watch?v=554ZJUv-avQ

  • @MrMisharos The hungarian revolution in 1956!!! "A spontaneous nationwide revolt against the government of the People's Republic of Hungary and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from 23 October until 10 November 1956."

  • @mommyslittlemonsta Köszönöm a Magyarság nevében!

  • Siiiick!

  • It's funny... I love every single kind of music. Classical, rap, techno, house, pop, trance... etc

I think I'm like, the only one who enjoys every kind of music... Anyone with me?

  • @ordude123 : I'm with you... growing up in a house of musicians and artists - it's kind of hard NOT to have a love and/or appreciation for multiple music genres. And people that tend to not limit themselves to one type of music tend to not be so close-minded to other people, cultures, and personalities... at least that's been my experience...

  • @ordude123 no

  • I was bumpin' this in my ride on the way to school today.

  • Wow, I had a lot of fun looking at all the comments of people fighting. You guys need to grow up.

  • @etpenusee NO U!

    :P

  • I love this its beautiful!!! I can't belive that there are 7 dislikes i mean i know some peoples don't like classical music and thats okay everyone likes diffrent things BUT EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE CLASSICAL MUSIC HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THIS ?? ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!!! AND JUST LIKE Sorasfriend said DON'T EVEN BOTHER WATCHING IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT !!!!

  • Who could be the seven people who do not like it?

    I don't speak english :)

  • you can see that this influenced the pirates of the carribean theme

  • @sirshitsalot007 in what way? i don't hear that at all.

  • @bnblack96 the whole part in 6/8 time specifically 2:53

  • @sirshitsalot007 ohh yessss i see now. i apologize...i didnt even notice it before. nice observation!

  • Comment removed

  • @sirshitsalot007 Well to be uber specific, it's actually all in 3/4; besides the ending of the piece (6:52), which is in cut time, and the very beginning which is in 3/2 until the Allegro :P

  • @sirshitsalot007

3/4 time. Not 6/8. The introduction is in 3/2, the main Allegro theme is 3/4 and the final presto F major section is in cut time.

  • @sirshitsalot007 haha your name is hilarious XD

  • @sirshitsalot007 The funniest thing about this is that, today in orchestra, near the end of class, people started to sound out bits and pieces from the Pirates of the Caribbean theme after we had worked on some parts to this piece.

  • This made me depressed. But it was great! :)

  • AWESOME!

  • this is Beethoven. Like my favorite composers.

  • Johan Wolfgang Von Goethe

  • What a grand ending

  • it is clearly a photo, not so clearly beethoven, but very convincing. in fact i like to think that some clever inventor was way ahead of his time .It is a beautiful photo of possibly a genius by another genius. please someone investigate.

  • That photograph can't be of Beethoven. I thought the photograph wasn't invented until the late 1830's. Then again, maybe that was when it was first patented. I'm sure Beethoven was dead after 1827.

  • @MyNameIsBenneth and even if the date would match, it is wrong to think they could photograph movements (which this clearly is as the person is walking), it would have taken a couple of hours to capture the foto, so there couldn't be any movement.

  • @iSilkeSmeesters Yes, the evidence sways me to believe this photo isn't of Herr Beethoven!

  • this iz a besssssssssss song

  • you cannot compare two great composers. Mozart and Beethoven were in two different musical periods. Their music is different, but all in all amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • i love this piece its so beautiful

  • Great song. The first bassoon part gets pretty rough though!

  • His other music are like he's regarding something, like a feeling or a specific image in his head...but this one...he's telling a story, it's not the demonstration of a feeling or the representation of something, it's a whole story he's telling, I can almost read it like a book.

  • I like the faster Version more. This to slow and relaxed for my ears.

  • we play it in orchestra...its awesome :)

  • beethoven's music is great, but the one thing that he's missing out on is percussion. why don't classical composers back then use percussion?

  • because they knew that rap hip hop sucks big time

  • @nakedBison69

not like rap hip hop percussion. if you listen to tchaikovsky and shostakovich music, they love using a lot of percussion, which really adds to the color.

  • i suppose so, but none of those composers are nearly as great as any of the great music composed in the 18th century, such as Albinoni, Bach, Corelli, Handel, Telemann, Vivaldi, Haydn, and Mozart

  • @VenomEmperor

One thing I'd point out is that orchestras were smaller, and stringed instrument much quieter, back then. Therefore, it was never thought of to use a lot of loud instruments that would drown out the strings. This would also include low brass/wind instruments, lots of horns, etc.

  • @VenomEmperor Beethoven made greater use of percussion than any other composer who preceded him. Ask any timpani player in an orchestra. That's probably why people named a drum kit after him.

  • I love playing this piece....

  • Wow...wonderful.

  • 82 % -os zenei tudás a zenekar részéről, mondjuk úgy éppen elmegy 1-2 *

    Azért ez elég szégyen !

Nincs zenei összhang a játékosok között !

  • so beautiful....simply awe inspiring....

The Woodwind section (Oboe, flute) plus the Strings (Violins, Cello, Double Bass) make this piece of Beethoven more great. The tempo changing make this very dramatic, giving you a spike of adrenaline. The subtle-ness of the violin, the power of the timpani, the pace of the flute, the broad-ness of the trumpet..... it's all there. It's like love, hate, envy, greed, charity, kindness....

    Truly beautiful.

for all those bitches who hate this, fuck off asses.

  • Nice version but who's the conductor ?

  • Why the fuck do Lady Gaga songs show up on every classical music video these days

  • @connorross123 Lady Gaga works for the CIA, the reason why she shows up on every type of musical classifications are to destroy the ethics and musical tastes of other nations, as for us blessed Americans, pay no heed, we can distinguish good music from the bad

  • On of the best

    Respect for 1956

  • Beautiful

  • beautiful music

  • love this song from beethoven.

  • Amazing, Only Amazing

  • glad i took my time to hear this... really is awesome Beethoven mastered The art of rhythm itself!!

  • let the music playing ! without comment !

  • The 6 people who disliked this video think rap is music.

  • LA FOTO ES UNA SIMULACION NO?

  • ele foi Divino!

  • 6 pessoas que assistiram esse vídeo não tem gosto musical.

  • Beethoven was not a HUMANIST i.e. ATHEIST of today - he was decent, intelligent, Bible believing and God trusting man. That is why, just like Newton, Leibniz, Gauss, Mozart, Bach and other most important men gave us something worthwhile.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB

first, all those people believed in god and the bible because there was literally no other choice. if newton, or any of the individuals you mentioned, did not believe in god they would have probably been killed. but no one else here mentioned god except you and that demonstrates you're insecurity more than anything. gtfo, we don't need a mindless religious debate here.

  • @lightsinthesky246 I hate to say that, but am afraid that the only demonstration here is the significant depth of your ignorance and further your lack of skills in the arts of logic. Neither Beethoven, nor his music belong to you, I therefore recommend that you first get some important skills, such as the ability to think consistently before assuming the role of a judge. I will not respond to any of your potential future messages until you demonstrate that you deserve my attention. Good bye.

  • @lightsinthesky246 You know, Newton and those individuals chose to read the bible instead of being forced to. There was a big issue of the study of the bible in Newton's case where he was almost forced to preach the teachings of the bible but Newton managed to get away from this duty because of his already rigorous study of it. And i only reply to this because I am as much a supporter of Newton (and others) as Beethoven.

  • @lightsinthesky246 i was gonna jump on you for saying newton believed in god but you finished nicely lol

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB One can be both a humanist and believe in the existence of a higher power. They are not mutually exclusive.

  • @MsAppassionata We have to clarify our definitions to avoid confusions. However, the modern definition of Humanism is mutually exclusive with the notion for a coherent God as defined by the Bible. If by "higher power" you refer to some subset of the properties of God then for some such subsets there would be no problem for them to coexist, however since such subset of the properties of God would not be well defined, it follows that any construction of semi-god+humanism is also invalid.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB P.S.- Though Beethoven believed in God, I don't think that he was a fan of organized religion. He had a very healthy distrust of authority figures of any kind and there are no reports of him attending any church services, so far as I know.

  • @MsAppassionata But of course, God and (organized) religion are quite opposite. Today's universities for example are churches of atheism, where free thinking and thinkers are quite unwanted entities. It is funny how the more things change the more they stay the same, as the French say. Believing in God has absolutely nothing to do with religion and has all to do with creativity, intelligence, decency, correctness and many other superlatives.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB I agree with what you said about God vs. organized religion but I believe most universities nowadays are really only interested in churning out mediocre students by giving them good grades so as to please their parents and keep those dollars rolling in. I don't think that free thought of any kind is encouraged because the powers that be don't want a populace that asks too many uncomfortable questions. The same can be said about many religious institutions. As for God vs.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB (continued) humanism, I believe (though I am not a Christian) in a creative force that guides the universe but I also believe that we were put here to work things out for ourselves and not use religion as a crutch or as a tool for those seeking power by brainwashing others. There are free thinkers who are atheists as well as those who believe in the divine. Be that as it may, this is not really the proper forum for this conversation but I just wanted to have my say.

  • @MsAppassionata I dear to suggest that Beethoven would not mind the least people discussing existential questions in a civilized manner inspired by his being and in his meta-space. Good luck in your exploration of life, be careful for (disguised) assumptions. One of those sank Titanic.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB I'm not exactly sure what disguised assumptions you're referring to but I wasn't really talking about Beethoven's attitudes. I know that he probably would have loved a discussion such as this one. I was talking about other people who might be reading this and don't want the distraction of this conversation to interfere with their enjoyment of this music. Anyway, good luck and safe travels to you too. Watch out for the icebergs.

  • God damn I love this playlist

  • Love it!!!!!

  • I like the freeedom like the air

  • Beethveen has the best music ever

  • Is it me who gets such a good rush of listening to beethoven ?

Im a massive heavy metal/punk/glamrock/sleaze/grunge and rockabilly head but i love classic music along with blues, bluegrass, jazz and country :D even some disco and pop (old ) <3

  • Does anybody else who watches Pirates of the Caribbean, hear the theme music pop up every once in a while. especially at 2:50.

  • @StumbledUponMusic

Oh it's there alright...I heard it too.

    Thanks for pointing it out!

  • what power!

    Beethoven, often imitated, never duplicated!

  • i dont see why there would be dislikes on this video. I mean its music. Unless the person's job is to be a bitch or something, i dont see why you would dislike it. If you dont like mozart, or even this style of music, THEN DONT WATCH IT

  • @Sorasfriend You must be stone not to be moved by this excitement of creation, of life and love.

  • @rollingcube who said I wasn't, im just saying there should be no reason for anyone to hate this, I mean its like the musical version of Homer's epics

  • @Sorasfriend Well, I mean, they're not saying that you're stupid for enjoying classical music. If someone doesn't like a song, and they therefore dislike the video, there's nothing wrong with that. They're not being a bitch, just expressing their opinions.

Also, mozart is completely different from beethoven. Just putting that out there.

  • @Sorasfriend I was with you until you said Mozart.

I love Mozart but this is Beethoven.

  • @stiltonchees The act of being to first to either dislike or like something is assumed "cool" in the world of internet i guess, like a internet "meme". Also they might see themself as "trolling" making them feel immune to criticism due to them not being "serious" since it's the act of being first rather than the act of either liking or disliking. Simply put; stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @Iooe99 I agree with your opinion. It is just IMPOSSIBLE to entirely dislike this piece. I think the dislike button was all about the interpretaion

  • @Sorasfriend Music can be interpreted and played in various ways. Maybe the dislikers actually enjoy this piece, just not in the particular way this orchestra had played it in.

  • @Sorasfriend I "think" this is not mozart... it's Beethoven!!!

  • @IORITZgudari Beethoven is just a stage or 2 - 3 better ;)

  • @Sorasfriend it might also be because those people believe the orchestra performing doesn't sound very good.

  • @Minisoaps that's very true, i love this piece and i respect beethoven's works , but in my opinion this rendition of the piece in this recording isn't one of the best ..... it's a bit sloppy, especially at the beginning.

  • @Sorasfriend They missed the like button.

  • @Sorasfriend its beethoven... not mozart... i had to play this senior year of high school... its an amazing piece

  • @Sorasfriend those are justin beiber's fans.

  • @Sorasfriend Yeah understand where ur anger comes from but this is Beethoven. LoL

We make mistakes. I'm glad u like classical though. My fav is boroque.

  • @Sorasfriend Maybe they didn't like this particular interpretation.

  • @Sorasfriend hay you mozart would not be watched, this place not for joking

  • @Ragaei56 This place is most definitely for joking my friend, it's the internet.

  • @Sorasfriend hay you mozart would not be watched, this place not for joking, htis is in addition he is Beethoven

  • Excellent performance. Perfect tempo.

Beethoven was a present from God for us!!! By the way, he as all other geniuses who had positive contribution believed in God.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB How evangelical!

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB That is stupid ignorant comment. One of the biggest genious in world Jean Paul Sartr was atheist.

  • Six people had their heads chopped off by the spanish inquisition.

  • @Worldslargestipod You know what they say: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

  • @RevolutionofNirvanas Dun dun dum da!

  • 7:20 is my favorite part :D

  • First time I heard Egmont I s* my pants. And I still s* my pants every time I listen to Egmont.

  • @octavianmihailescu Disgusting.

  • @octavianmihailescu You don't hear a play, you watch it. Unless you're blind I suppose.

  • @Sakkura1 this is an overture. it's symphonic music. and music is something you "hear". I don't care about the play itself.

  • @octavianmihailescu This is not Egmont, it is the overture to Egmont.

  • @Sakkura1 do you have a lot of fun playing dumb on the internet? or are you just confused...

  • Fantastic music! Dramatic and inspirational!

  • Fantastic music! Dramatic and inspirational!

  • I can't breath ,somebody help...

  • @siamakghh2000 Why?

  • @rollingcube-because of extreme excitation !!!

  • @rollingcube The gorgeous polyphony which begins the conclusion of this piece and how the interplay between the parts makes delicious and sublime entrance into the human ear.

  • How can you possibly dislike this?

  • Surely one of the greatest composers of ALL time!

  • mhm looks like a lot of 15 year olds are playing this :) as am i...1ST FLUTE! lets go! :)

  • @1cublock7 i am playing this too!! except im not 15 im 13... 1ST CLARINET!!!!!
