i just bought the new super mario bros wii bundle and i didn't realize that it didn't support gamecube games :( i hope they get gamecube games for the virtual console for the super mario bros wii bundle. i'm probably gonna call the number on the box and find out if its possible to get gamecube games on it. if not then there is no point in me buying the new super mario bros wii bundle.
Why the hell can't they just make the thing a tad bit bigger, and let us play our gamecube games. I think they should set up a system where you enter the purchase code from the game into the Wii store, and get the game for free. Just to let you know, I am not dissing on them, I love Nintendo, but most of us don't have the money to throw away for games we probably already have.
A significant amount of ISO games' data is essentially packing peanuts. If Nintendo and the 3rd parties took the time and effort to gut these games of the useless information, it could be more feasible.

external memory is going to fix the 8gigs problem. 2tb memory hard drive is only around $100 for people who dont know how much 2tb is, its 2048gigabytes of memory you can buy them on amazon for EVEN LESS! i wouldn't mind spending the extra cash to have THAT much memory it has 4 usb ports. You could go for 320gigs and you'll be set.
@backinblackskin23 8 TB memory sounds good to me :) But yeah, and to be more epic it has an SD card slot which can go up to 32 GB I think. All you need to do is buy 1 500GB flash drive and you're set for a lifetime :)

@1crazykoala the thing about that is not every game is easy to find nowadays with gamecube and stuff. What was nice about the VC is that you could be playing N64 nes snes etc games without needing to have the consoles or actual living copys of the games. You would just choose what game and play it in minutes! No need to search for it at stores. If they have it for VC people can get GC games they never played or replay them for a low price if they dont have a gamecube anymore. It would be great!

external memory is going to fix the 8gigs problem. 2tb memory hard drive is only around $100 for people who dont know how much 2tb is, its 2048gigabytes of memory you can buy them on amazon for EVEN LESS! i wouldn't mind spending the extra cash to have THAT much memory it has 4 usb ports. You could go for 320gigs and you'll be set.

@backinblackskin23 8 TB memory sounds good to me :) But yeah, and to be more epic it has an SD card slot which can go up to 32 GB I think. All you need to do is buy 1 500GB flash drive and you're set for a lifetime :)

@1crazykoala I know!!!. People need to stop flipping out about this. I have had my gamecube for ever and it is in near perfect condition so why don't people pick one up for like 20 dollars at the most. Even cheaper solution.... use your wii since everyone who had a gamecube and wants wii u should have a wii! :o

@1crazykoala the thing about that is not every game is easy to find nowadays with gamecube and stuff. What was nice about the VC is that you could be playing N64 nes snes etc games without needing to have the consoles or actual living copys of the games. You would just choose what game and play it in minutes! No need to search for it at stores. If they have it for VC people can get GC games they never played or replay them for a low price if they dont have a gamecube anymore. It would be great!

if this does happen it would be cool and hopefully like the 3ds e shop games there could be a upgrade with graphics like excitebike turned 3d maybe games could have a hd upgrade i dunno but i also think that there will be a choice of memory like the 360 has a 1gb model and a 250 model so i guess the 8gb model of the WU will be the lowest price

@Prophet6000 how would they make a "retro game" HD (I know its not exactly retro yet but still) with out remaking it. Besides it doesnt matter. HD is HD nothing more :P
