Great commercial but what cracks me up the most is the little "tag" where the GTO just sort of goes off on its own and the Monkees don't care because: Hey! We're enjoying our Rice Krispies! Somehow, it's very funny too when the Kellogg's "Best To You" gets plastered over the scene.
That was the jingle Kellogg's used for Rice Krispies {"It's Going To Be A Rice Day"} during 1967, and was also used in a memorable ad featuring an urban couple [with kid] enjoying the cereal on their apartment terrace, and a leisurely day afterwards. The Monkees rarely sang in their "integrated" Kellogg's spots.....
