How to Install a new CD/DVD Burner

You just proved to me that my dvdcd rom burner is dying.I'm going to have to get a new one .i try regis edit which had no upper or lowere filter it .Claimed my drive was disconnected.that only means one thing .the fact I accidently deleted my firm ware and i cant get it back .Well its dying that why .

Question: Windows will automatically find drivers or do I still need to install drivers from online or CD (if the burner comes with it)?

Question 2: Do you have to go into the bios & make any changes due to an upgrade?

I'm going to upgrade to a lightscribe blu-ray/ HD dvd burner writer since my DVD burner won't work anymore after a cd shattered inside of it. First time this happened to me but it happen to a causin of mine like 10 years ago.

2. you do not need to go into the bios.

@Avoiderrors hi i really need your help. i have the same pc you have in the video above. the same IDE cable and the same POWER cable. i have bought a CD/DVD rom which is called SATA and they gave me just a red small cable and nothing else with it. now i dont know where to fit that IDE cable and the power cable which is in your video above doest fit anywhere in my SATA DRIVE. help me out. thanks for you nice video.

@MrWatandoost the one i used in the video is ATA not SATA. you need to return it for an ATA CD/DVD
