  • it'd be pretty cool if in the future, they up the frame rate on this, and make augmented sunglasses for cities etc, it could be really useful...

  • This iwifihack . net app made my ipad (also works on iphone and ipod touch) hack wifi networks

  • same shit

  • I still think youtube should finally be fast enough to stream videos in real time!

  • cool, now I can view facebook feeds on a slice of pie!!

  • Which App is this?

  • @vishalvshekkar Type "Augmented Reality" into the app store and you will find tones of really cool apps like this. And AR games are really cool too.

  • it says at the end "reality browser" ..

  • @TheDraqo no it sounds like pirate tak "iEye cap'n"

  • @007LUKE007 talk*

  • @akuswara no, it is the "i"

  • So this is how augmented reality will work on the 3DS? Both it and the iPhone 4 have cameras and a gyroscope, so I'm guessing it'd be similar.

  • Visit my channel (GyroscopeGames) for videos on the newest gyroscope enhanced games. No apps. Just games.

    Enjoy.

  • I released an app in the App Store called Gyroscope Toolkit that gives you a whole demonstration of the capabilities of the iPhone 4 gyroscope. There's also a video on my account with a partial demo and a direct link to the App Store.

  • shazam identifies this shit wrong.

  • woah~~

  • LOL despite the corruption bribed Consumer Reports anti-Apple campaign Apple still managed to have their highest grossing quarter ever. ROCK ON APPLE, fuck Microbribe and the rest of the corrupt press.

  • SONG?!?!?!?!

  • @pwnerwhite SHUT UP!!!!!!!!

  • Oh boy, shaky-cam galore. And we are supposed to assess the better fluidity of the Gyroscope HOW?

Why don't you bolt the camera and the 2 phones to a board and try again?

The way it stands, this is currently a complete waste of time.

  • It's impressive! Fab!!!

P.S. What's the name of the song? thx

  • what s the name of the song?

  • is that an app?

  • @radtwelve

...acrossair browser is the name of it...

  • Yeah, AR did suck pretty hard with the old iPhone. New one looks great though!

  • What app is that?

  • yeah the song! what's the name of it

  • @TheWorldzRaze Sounds like Erlend Øye. :-)

  • Cool song. What is it?

  • this is great! Curious though.....what is the name of the song that you used? It's a great tune!

  • I still think that we need AR glasses :/

  • @MarquesZero Just stick two iPhone 4s to your head with duct tape? :D

  • @HalskovApps Exactly :D

  • @MarquesZero Vuzix has AR glasses on their website. Just goto Vuzix-com, hover over products, and scroll down to Augmented Reality :)

If you want to check out some really cool AR tech, check out Pranav Mistry's "Sixth Sense" videos, and lectures on TED.

He takes AR to the next level with portable projectors and webcams that recognize hand gestures,

This is one thing I love about the iPhone, is that it should help open the door to AR, and I really hope the technology takes off!

  • @MarquesZero google is making them, you can google it to find out more about it. The initial model they're talking about will be an "experiment" but available to the public for purchase (I'm assuming they're going to pull a minecraft where it's in "beta" for forever to easily excuse any faults). From what I read the initial model is somewhat bulky and not meant for continual wearing (I believe that the lens portion of the glasses extends about 4 inches)

  • It's amazingly accurate! Congratulations, this new feature will bring acrossair applications a better look and a great opportinity to enter the mass market.
