Himalayan peaks are the highest but not the tallest or literally biggest mount everwst from it's lowest point to it's summit is 12,000 feet but mont blanc is 13,000. Feet from base to summit and Denali in Alaska is 17,000 feet from base to summit also mont blanc is bigger than K2 but of course not nearly as high so it takes longer to climb K2 as you need to acclimatize and you get worn out after only a few steps
What is he saying? I caught bits of it, but the combination of his thick accent, the video camera, and the winds, make it hard to understand.
Words cannot express how incredible this feat is. There's a reason they call it the Death Zone. Prior to this, it was thought to be humanly impossible to survive at this altitude for this long. I guess the scientists weren't studying sherpas in their tests LOL
It's sad that sherpas like Babu have to do these crazy risky things just to get 1/10th the recognition of someone like Ed Viesturs. Not putting down Viesturs, as he deserves every ounce of recognition he's gotten. Just saying that sherpas get so little doing their everyday work that they have to take risks like this to get ANY recognition.
Sherpas are the best mountaineers in the world, hands down.
iN NEPAL WE HAVE MORE BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN INCLUDING MOUNT EVEREST BUT MOUNT EVEREST BEATS THEM ALL BUT YOU GUYS SHOULD SEE MACHHAPUCHURE MOUNTAIN ALSO KNOWN AS FISH TAIL MOUNTAIN WHICH IS SACRED AND HAS NEVER BEEN CLIMBED HAHAHAHAHA YEAH SO NO ONE IS GOONA CLIMB THAT MOUNTAIN MMMM. SO CHECK OUT OTHER MOUNTAIN TOO THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND MAGESTIC
Wata crazy buga. Mad respect! man even of i made it to top... itl b more lyk touch and go haha l8! strayt bak down dat mountain...oh maybe a few pic's first den go lolz peace
I heard wimps complain that they just don't have the genetic ability to keep up with the Sherpas on climbs, but this extra ordinary effort proves its will power and not just genetics.
I've seen the program "Everest, beeond the limit" and I saw a man die, on the way down, and this guy stay up there for 21 hours amazing, so incredible!!!;D
Sherpas have lived around 18 000ft for 500 years so their exploitation of oxygen is way more efficient than ours. Western himalayists truly amaze me because they climb those 8000ers peaks alpine style: no supplemental oxygen(like sherpas), no fixed ropes, no pre established camps.. That's the real deal!
Can I do this with a regular tent or do I really need a custom one?

And this guy did it without Sherpa support.
Just shows what a bunch of whips the rest of us are.

Why is this guy not on Nat Geo ?
Something very very very wrong about the men that run the mass media.

It takes more mental strength dealing with the pain of cold and struggling to breath then it does physical strength.
This men must have great mental discipline.
