If I'm not mistaken, that is in fact an Ibanez Jem 7BSB. I have no idea why he isn't using Dean, especially at a clinic and I've rarely seen a video where he hasn't used a Dean but OMG that is an Ibanez!

I don't think he's used a PRS before. The confusion may be because of a video of MAB playing at a PRS booth at NAMM a few years back with Mark Tremonti and others. I believe MAB was using a dean hardtail in that video.

i don't get how Batio shreds with his fingers resting on the body of the guitar below the strings! i guess its something of a technique he developed over playing with so many guitars with floyd roses. i've tried it thinking it would help me play like him but my fingers just kept slipping and it didnt help lol and their both freakin awesome by the way.

Since MAB is left handed when he learned to pick he 'anchored' his hand with his 3 fingers and he still plays like that. Everybody has their own picking style that works for them. He utilizes economy of motion, the less distance you move the faster you can be.

I don't know personally (maybe someone can 'shred' some light on this) but if you can't tell, the bass at the beggining of the video is a 6 string. Check Kopecky's website or maybe send him an email
