Ummm... it’s great and all but this is actually free running, not Parkour. To tell the differences just ask yourself, "would I do this if I was running for my life".
Now this is what I, amateur that I am, would call the spirit of Parkour. Just like martial arts it's so often painted as dangerous and so on. Seeing a televised segment on how much these things can give to their practioners...this made my day.
nice job! :) ...I might also be of service to you...have had other traceurs appreciate not losing their stuff as they go about their work... try it on and make things easier for yourself. :) chk out PortaPocket on line. (I'd suggest it's best to use the belt loop style mountings on the pockets for heavier things like phones...;)
I agree with starting small, but jumping from the table to the bench 1 foot away I think is too small (unless they were morbidly obese or handicap) I think it's utterly pointless.
@ThePurestSkyll Hawaii Parkour is part of America Parkour so chances are if you live in america, all you need to do is register and find any of the state based teams in your area, introduce yourself, and find out their training sessions. Hope that helps.
@teamflyboys I live in Canada, in a decent sized city. The only facebook group of traceurs can't even get enough people to start a 'meet.' They said when I start (I really want to, but I'm lost at where to start) I should do it at a meet... Oh the irony, right?
@ThePurestSkyll I'll tell you what. I'm going to digitally assist you using this particular website because I learned how to freerun off of youtube. Check your Messages in about 15 minutes.
Awesome!! This is exactly how a Parkour related interview should happen. Not having the media fuss over how 'dangerous' it is, but actually discussing the benefits. Great job ladies and gents!!

I loved training at Ala Moana Park when I was in Hawaii. Definately a good spot to teach beginners.
