@squinkque Yeah, I believe there was a whole show built around them trying to get out of the skit and Guy Caballero keeping it going . It was hilarious.
This was great comedy, produced in Canada with Canadian actors. In Edmonton at one point, believe it or not. Dave Thomas thinks his old stuff is no good and that his stuff since SCTV is better. Doubtful, very doubtful. Who can even remember any of it?
Maybe he looks at a lot of his stuff as not-so-great. He's also said he doesn't like sitcoms so much because they're so fake w/ forced laughs, but now he says he just likes to help newer writers find opportunities.
This is Classic stuff,The music used at the beginning was also used from sctv's "midnight express special",.The original theme was "The Freinds of Mr.Cairo",.Johnny LaRue was always pickin' on this guy, lol!
This was a clip from a show called SCTV (Second City Television). The show consisted of shows within shows. The troupe of this show produced many comedians such as Mike Myers.
SCTV funniest show ever.

Does anyone else remember Magnum P.E.I.? everytime I visit P.E.I. I always find a random hay field to roll around in and pretend I'm John Candy.

Thanks for the reassurances, now I just got to get my grubby paws on the DVD. SCTV was truly one of the best t.v. shows in the history of humankind.

Dave Thomas was really doubtful he could pull off the skit as an Asian. No worries, Dave.

Haha, the devil costume is the best part. Its a clever way to imply the movie is a piece of crap.

I have never seen this series in my country so I don't get the clue. Is this a persiflage of a series?
