  • Hey great vid! I just picked up the same player at a goodwill, and it came with The Specialist. It works great and its in great shape!

  • Good movie. And the CLD-S201 is actually a decent player. It's low end, but it has reasonably good picture quality, better than just about any high end player from Sony and even some players from Panasonic.

And this is coming from a person who loves Sony equipment but who also collects LaserDiscs; if you want a player that performs well, virtually nothing beats a Pioneer.

  • Back in the 1990's a friend of mine had a Phillips Laserdisc Player.

I don't know what the model was but it was High End and it offered really neat features.

It had a Digital Memory Buffer, which would allow CLV Laserdisc to played with CAV Features.

  • @Riddler95

My guess was that your friend's player was the CDV-600.

  • Hey, I've got the same player!

except the fast-forward shuffle-knob...thing on the front is missing.

  • Classic movie

  • I made this video because I was going to sell my Laserdisc player, but I didn't.

  • You wanted to sell your LD Player.

How come? I still got my CLD-S201, I want to buy another LD player soon.

  • @Riddler95 IDK... I still might sell it later on. If your interested now or later on, e-mail me. Im not auctioning it off anytime soon.

  • How come you want to sell it, such a great piece of old school technology.

  • @Riddler95 oh I know... thats why im not selling it, but im not really a movie guy. Now if I would love to find some old early 80's instruction Laserdiscs.

  • great movie!
