Im with the thousands hoping for the right decision for Lennox and his loving caring family. The photos of Lennox and the pleas from his family have shown the world that he is an innocent lovable non aggressive dog. Why use him as an example? Lennox is another story of suffering because of the few. The few being those dog owners who train and treat dogs to be aggressive. Its not the dogs fault its the fault of bad untrained uncaring owners and they are the ones that should suffer.

If world renowned trainer "Cesar Milan' doesn't think lennox is a dangerous breed then Belfast city council have no grounds to disagree, they are pen pushers and so called "experts" in housing and waste not dog breed standards or behaviour! Do a DNA test and allow the results be used as evidence in court!
The DNA test may help Lennox - which is for sure a great thing - but it would not help those dogs who are a pit bull crossbreed. In my opinion Ireland needs to changed its law. I saw this on facebook and wonder why...BSL tags means vicious, but then again won't any animal be vicious if mistreated, abused or something?I have heard reports of children being mauled by other non-BSL. It's not breed but how the dog is being treated since a pup. believe this folks have nuture their pet dog to be obedient and non threatening .Breed specific restriction is pure bullshit..how about guard dogs like Doberman who are trained to injure or kill someone who trespass?

I really hope the dog is returned to the family... and that the BCC stops doing this. My dog is a stafforshire bullterrior and looks exactly like Lennox. If someone decided he was a pitbull and took him away from me, I would never recover. He's such a people-dog and very attached to me, thats how a lot of staffies and pitbulls are too... they love people. It's so devastating!
It's just ridiculous because my dog is a staffordshire bullterrier and they look slightly like pitbulls (like the dog in the pic above, looks more like a staffy than a pitbull)... and staffies are the most loving dogs Ive ever had! My husband also had a pitbull and he was the most gentle loving dog. All dogs have sharp teeth... theyre all potentially dangerous
@ByeByeBelly yes, they´ve sharp teeth and so much power if they bite! In Switzerland, someone developped a cover for the teeth made of plastic, which is to put on the upper and lower teeth . This is a really good solution, that prevents severe injuries.
That was so sad! I sent a really long email to one of the MPs in that council and got a genuine non-automated reply.. he said he would respond since I've e-mailed him all the way from Australia. He said that all of the dogs could be returned to the owners if they just paid the fines (but I doubt thats true and I dont know how much these "fines" are)

The photos of Lennox and the pleas from his family have shown the world that he is an innocent lovable non aggressive dog. Why use him as an example? Lennox is another story of suffering because of the few. The few being those dog owners who train and treat dogs to be aggressive. The DNA test may help Lennox - which is for sure a great thing - but it would not help those dogs who are a pit bull crossbreed. In my opinion Ireland needs to changed its law. How can they put dogs to sleep which just look like a breed that MIGHT become dangerous if PEOPLE treat them wrongly?! I saw this on facebook and wonder why...BSL tags means vicious, but then again won't any animal be vicious if mistreated, abused or something?I have heard reports of children being mauled by other non-BSL. It's not breed but how the dog is being treated since a pup. believe this folks have nuture their pet dog to be obedient and non threatening .Breed specific restriction is pure bullshit..how about guard dogs like Doberman who are trained to injure or kill someone who trespass?

I know pit bulls have been banned in the uk for many years and all the ones left had to be neutered but there are cross-breeds with staffs come in through Ireland from such places like USA so Im pretty sure that full bred pit bulls are not legally allowed in Ireland or the UK .... really its an injustice as these dogs are not evil or dangerous ... its not the nature of the breed

I signed the petition, wrote to every single address which is shown on the vid and the website...and now I am leaning back, pray and wait for a miracle! Because such an obnoxious and repulsive act of barbarity has no equal, oh it has...in a terror regime what we had right here in Middle Europe some decades ago...racial laws...in those times for humans, now for dogs. There is no difference...it´s repugnant and sick!

I think I'm going to have my people check into this & see if we cannot get him returned to his family. I have a niece that owns a doberman, in EU they are considered more of a guard dog than a family pet. The real threat here is not the dog itself, but Man, becuz Man carries a threat to everything living, breathing & with this threat comes death. The government in Belfast can actually remove a persons pet from a six foot fenced yard for doing absolutely nothing!??!Unbelievable!!In California true pitbulls frolic in the streets all day!!We cannot go for liesurely walks!!They do nothing!!My neighbor was attacked,and 2 hrs. later an animal warden drove down the block!!Poor Lennox Must be returned!!!!

This is so sad and makes me cry. I dont; understand why people have to be so cruel? Lennox needs to go home. Even if he was a ptibull. Where I come from,a BSL doesn't exist! It's very sad what is happening with Lennox or any other sweet creature like him. I think this law which is supposed to protect the human,has turned to be cruel and racist against the dog and it's keeper,too.

We must not allow Lennox to become yet another casualty of war in the battle to end dogfighting. Wake up, politicians -- this is not a dog problem, it's a human problem!
Every dog is born balanced, connected, grounded and aligned. If societies want to address the "dangerous dog" problem, then the lawmakers had better first examine the behavior of their most diseased and dysfunctional citizens: the dogfighter!

There are no such things as dangerous dogs, only ignorant or irresponisble dog owners. Lennox is clearly loved and cared for, I have sent my emails today and I urge anyone watching this to do the same, we cannot allow the pointless murder of innocent animals to continue.

Breed Specific Legislation is an unfair law and it must end. Say NO to BSL and help to stop the madness, the poor dogs don't have a voice but we do!

I really hope the dog is returned to the family... and that the BCC stops doing this. My dog is a stafforshire bullterrior and looks exactly like Lennox. If someone decided he was a pitbull and took him away from me, I would never recover. He's such a people-dog and very attached to me, thats how a lot of staffies and pitbulls are too... they love people. It's so devastating!

It's just ridiculous because my dog is a staffordshire bullterrier and they look slightly like pitbulls (like the dog in the pic above, looks more like a staffy than a pitbull)... and staffies are the most loving dogs Ive ever had! My husband also had a pitbull and he was the most gentle loving dog. All dogs have sharp teeth... theyre all potentially dangerous

@ByeByeBelly yes, they´ve sharp teeth and so much power if they bite! In Switzerland, someone developped a cover for the teeth made of plastic, which is to put on the upper and lower teeth . This is a really good solution, that prevents severe injuries.

That was so sad! I sent a really long email to one of the MPs in that council and got a genuine non-automated reply.. he said he would respond since I've e-mailed him all the way from Australia. He said that all of the dogs could be returned to the owners if they just paid the fines (but I doubt thats true and I dont know how much these "fines" are)
