@dfan I was a little shaken up at the first one! all the rest were ok. we grew up around the waterways of florida so we are pretty used to all of the other wildlife (poisonous snakes, alligator snapping turtles, spiders) but alligators in the wild are new to me! they react faster than the ones at gatorland or the zoo!

must say, you have some balls to go canoing in those waters man. Being in cali, i have no idea how alligators react to humans. Are they normally afraid and just overly feared because of the media? Or will they attack if they see you?

@rawimpact i dont think they will attack if you are just floating by, but if you come near their eggs or babies, they freak out! i think that first one was guarding a nest, thats why i was shaking a little! lol plus that one was probably about 8-10 feet long and around 800-1000 pounds! thats big!
