What was the point of this? You are obligated to pay the loan. You(at least then) were delinquent. Doesn't that make them justified in seeking you out even if you kept telling them the same thing ("i'm not going to pay"). Just wondering.

I don't think it's right that bill collectors can record you, but you can't do the same thing as they do. I have told them to stop calling and to send any correspondence by mail, yet they still call. What is a person to do? We as Americans and others should come together to stop them!

Personally I'd just move onto another case, but seriously, it's a small amount of money and from what I see you're not disputing it. Other than your credit they can't really do shit, but it doesn't really speak to your morals much. If you have an obligation, just take care of it. It shouldn't be a question of if it affects you or not, but simply it's valid, how are you going to take care of it. Just my opinion though.
