Yeah, and before the Ben Stiller clone brother was cashing in on his brain-dead sister, he was a teacher at some Catholic high school. Now mom, dad,and the Ben Stiller clone are all cashing in on the lecture circuit. Anything to beat working a real job.
Terri Schiavo's death was a tragedy. But you need to know that Brownback was Pro-Abortion in the 90's before he changed to Pro-Life. He partnered with left wing extremists like Sen Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Rep James Moran (D-VA) in sponsoring feminist laws, who openly support the murder of human fetuses. Brownback works with this people.
good looking guy, that Bobby Schindler!!!!! Ben Stiller has nothing on him. When it's YOU lying in bed being dehydrated to death "Trueintentions" we'll see how brave and nobel you think Euthanasia is. I'll bet you would just ask for a bullet to bite on and die a courageous hero.... not.
Yes, I don't even know what Mr. Brownback is trying to do. He's certainly not trying to win any election because this is a 100% losing strategy. It's like stepping up to plate and intentionally striking out.
I think maybe he's just trying to get all the fundamentalist voters together so he can "sell" them off to a better-known candidate later on in the race, like slaves.
Euthanasia is torture and Abortion is murder, and you question why he's on board with Brownback.
Pro choice claims abortion is a woman's right to choose what she does to her body, but prostitution is illegal. Heidi Fleis went to prison for choosing what she wanted to do with her body. Hmm? It's hypocritical!
His sister was starved and dehydrated till death, torture. Quantanimo has sworn enemies, wanting to die, suicide bombers. We have to treat them right force them to live even though they clearly would rather be dead. Hypocritical!
Terry Schiavo died 20 years ago. Having her internal organs pumped through machines did not make her alive. The autopsy revealed that her brain had literally disintegrated into goo years before that "torture" you speak of began.
It's your inability to tell the difference between things like an embryo or a child; or a living person and a deceased vegetative corpse; that puts you fundmantalists at odds with the rest of society. You prefer things to be more simple than they are.
I'm sure it's convenient for you to put things into oversimplified categories--"euthenasia is torture; abortion is murder". Quick judgments, so easily, you never have to look at things carefully or in detail. But for the rest of us, there is clearly a difference between pulling the plug on an artificial respirator after the person's brain has already disintegrated into mush and "torture", and there's a difference between a fertilized egg with no feelings and a living human child.
"It's your inability to tell the difference between things like an embryo or a child"
Really? Wikipedia Definition: An embryo (Greek: ἔμβρυον, plural ἔμβρυα) is a multicellular diploid eukaryote in its earliest stage of prenatal development. The CHILD is called an embryo from the moment of fertilization until the end of the 8th week of gestational age in humans, whereafter it is instead called a FETUS.
Your inability to know that a child is being killed is odd.
A multicellular diploid eykaryote is not a child. There is a difference whether you want to admit it or not. If there were two buildings on fire and you could run in and save a frozen microscopic embryo in one, or a ten-year-old girl in another, I hope you would have the moral sense to choose the girl. If you can't tell the difference between the two, that worries me.
Actually, we liberals tend to feel that prostitution should not be illegal either. In fact, it is legal in a lot of places, such as Nevada, and they're doing fine.
When you're talking about a microscopic embryo, a fertilized egg, that is clearly not murder. It has no feelings, no hopes, no dreams, no fears, no desires. That's not a human life. It will only become a human life if the woman helps it grow into one, and whether she does or not IS her choice, not yours.
I can easily see why late-term abortion should be discouraged, because a fetus that's already several months old actually does feel pain and has thoughts and feelings and everything we associate with a human being, unlike an embryo, which is just a cluster of unthinking cell tissue. I can take a reasonable position and say that late-term abortion is wrong, but embryonic abortion is fine. But you can't even apply reason, because of your dogma. That's the difference.
"But you can't even apply reason, because of your dogma. That's the difference."
It's not dogmatic to have a different opinion, For 430 years in America, Black's were considered cattle/slaves until someone realized we were treating humans like animals and all men are created equal. Are you saying Abolitionist were wrong to think that way?
That's imbocilic, abortion is the killing of a child and has nothing to do with religion. Satanism is a religion? Typical illogical generalizations to justify killing childern.
Supernatural exist Einstein; Time, Space, Matter, Energy and information are all supernatural, all things exist from supernatural events. Can you at least make an attempt at logic?
"I can easily see why late-term abortion should be discouraged"
Discouraged! You should look at partial birth abortions online, you tell me why for 38 years it was okay for a woman to choose this? And it not be murder? In the year 2000, There were 1,313,000 abortions in U.S., This is Nazi.
In terms of late-term abortions (I think the phrase "partial birth" is rather propagandistic), I say discouraged rather than banned because I think it should still be permitted when going forward with the pregnancy would cost the woman her life. People shouldn't be forced to sacrifice their lives that way.
"I say discouraged rather than banned because I think it should still be permitted when going forward with the pregnancy would cost the woman her life."
that is not the reason for partial birth, which shows how much you know about it. You should read more because being uninformed is ignorance. What do you think the percentages are of women who's lives are in danger having abortions? 0.0012%, what percentage of that is partial birth?
Now, at a rate of over 1,300,000 abortions a year, it is out of control.
Food for thought; Eve, in the garden, ate the fruit and caused all sin to come into existence by her choice. She had better choices, but Adam did not say anything while she was being deceived. Maybe, men like yourself, should step up and take a proactive role in the pregnancy so the right decisions is available. Losers, irresponsible men, are the primary reason for abortion, not freedom of choice.
"that is not the reason for partial birth, which shows how much you know about it."
Did I say it was? Man, you are not listening. I said late-term ("partial birth") abortion should be permissable in cases where the pregnancy threatens the woman's life. I didn't say that happens in all cases. Sheesh.
That's absolutely senseless. No feelings, no hopes, no dreams, no fears and no desires, there are inmates in every prison that fit that description. Shouldn't we kill them too?
That's not liberal, that's Nazi mentality. 40 million people were aborted since Roe vs Wade. I thought liberals perserved life, hypocritical!
"No feelings, no hopes... There are inmates in every prison that fit that description."
No, inmates actually do have feelings. I'm not talking about a state of depression. Emrbyos are not just depressed and hopeless. They actually lack nervous sytems and are incapable of feeling such things or having opinions either way.
"Emrbyos are not just depressed and hopeless. They actually lack nervous sytems and are incapable of feeling such things or having opinions either way."
Embryos are hopeless in your hands, conception is the first stage of life irregardless of feelings; life development is staged, walking, talking, critical thinking, sexual stimulation. Abortion the process being cut off, the life process starts at conception.
An embryo is human life the same way your skin cells are human life, but neither your skin cells nor an embryo actually are human beings. An embryo will become a human being, but it's not a human being now, and the only way it will grow into one is if the mother helps it grow into one, and whether she does or not is her choice.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could say that anything with human DNA is a human being? But unfortunately that's not true. All the cells in your body have enough DNA to be turned into embryos, and later, human beings using modern cloning technology, but that does not make them human beings NOW. I think most people understand that there's more to a human life than just having the raw DNA, which is why a glob of embryonic tissue is not considered a human life to most.
At the stage I'm talking about, an embryo can still divide in two to produce twins, or it can merge with another embryo to produce a chimera. How then does it possess a single soul? It doesn't, clearly. It is as brain-dead as Terry Schiavo because it *has* no brain, and it won't have a brain ever unless the woman gives it one.
A poll in 2006 found that 33% of Americans feel abortion should be "permitted only in cases such as rape, incest or to save the woman's life", 27% said that abortion should be "permitted in all cases", 15% that it should be "permitted, but subject to greater restrictions than it is now", 17% said that it should "only be permitted to save the woman's life", and 5% said that it should "never" be permitted. I'm happy to say that you're part of the 5%.
That doesn't make you wrong of course, but realize how inflexible your position is and how widely people understand that it's not a black-and-white choice between "always wrong" and "always okay". By clinging to that impression dogmatically, you are preventing a real discussion of these issues from taking place.
It is black/white, Roe vs Wade doesn't allow for any Restrictions, and abortion on demand is out of control. As you can clearly see, Your own poll statistically says 77% said abortion should either be illegal or legal in only a few circumstances; RESTRICTIONS. I can agree to restricted circumstances of Rape, Incest, and saving a womans life, however, I can not agree with Roe's abortion on demand.
77% said that it should be permissable only in cases of rape, incest or medical necessity, and that's exactly what I've said. But I was talking about late-term abortion there, not merely the abortion of embryonic tissue. Polls consistently show that 3/4 of Americans are behind me in saying that early embryonic abortion is just fine. It's your dogmatic reluctance to acknowledge the difference between an embryo and a human child that prevents you from seeing the real issue.

No, there's not. The embryo, if left alone, will NOT develop on its own into a human being. The only way it will become one is if the woman helps it grow, and SHE is in control of her body and SHE gets to choose whether she will or not. You don't make that choice for her.
It's actually a little funny that your dogma is actually preventing you from understanding the clear text of the words I'm typing to you any better than that. According to your argument, the skin cells on your face are "human life" and you shouldn't be allowed to kill them either by scratching an itch. An embryo may be human life in the same way an eyelash is human life but that doesn't make it a human being and I'm happy to say most people agree with me.
"According to your argument, ...An embryo may be human life in the same way an eyelash is human life but that doesn't make it a human being ..."

If an embryo is allowed to follow the prenatal process "left alone", it lives. If it is aborted, it dies, if it is isolated outside of the womb, and abandoned, it dies. The fact that it dies, which must mean it lives.
"I thought liberals perserved life, hypocritical!"
