I also wish to lay my head on the chopping block . I was born with a gift just like my father , his mother & so all the way back in time . My first 11 years of my life was co-living with spirits in our very own haunted home which they communicated with us & even played their own pratical jokes with us . We ALL thought everyone lived liked this . Sadly no I still see , communicate & have messages from Spirit when they need to share information . You will see it's real upon your death transtion
Hi Mark , I wish to send apologies to you from ALL THE DISGUSTING POSTED COMMENTS ! . I wish all of you that have sent Mark your Opinions with utter disrespect & HATRED in your hearts for A HUMAN of any ability LOVE & LIGHT & into your world . We all deserve a HIGH STANDARD of Love , Respect & Honour NO MATTER WHO & WHAT we ASPIRE to be .
Now I will quote . NO BELIEVER NEEDS PROOF OF EXSISTANCE WHILE FOR A SKEPTIC ALL PROOF WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH TO BELIEVE OF EXSISTANCE . Go research yourself !
Well, while I most certainly know psychic skills do exist, this show actually did raise my BS meter a lot. He doesn't seems to act as a psychic here. Looks more like some pre show work was done, and he didn't really need those cards. Maybe he did use psychic skills in some occasions, but to me, this show looks a bit fake. More a mentalist show than a psychic one.
Per an article in the March 12, 1972 Tuscalosa News, Helmut Schmidt of the Duke Parapsychology Lab tested my father as follows: "Schmidt had someone select, from a table of random numbers, three numbers that were written down and put into a sealed envelope. The numbers were 385. 'It was completely stunning,' Schmidt says, recollecting Ireland's answer to the question, 'What do I have in this envelope?' His answer: 'There are three numbers. They are written in red ink and the numbers are 385."
I am fine with skeptics who want to question my father's abilities, but someone just took a pot shot at me for sharing the story involving my son, who I lost in 2004. I believe in the human soul and the survival of consciousness after physical death. I have what I consider to be good evidence to support these statements and I will continue to share it. If you are so cold as to berate a bereaved parent who is trying to bring hope to others then we have nothing to discuss.
Carol Burek's's note continued..."The group that night was a very, very skeptical group of engineers who were totally awed by the end of the evening. One young man wrote in a what I think may have been a Sanskrit-type of script, and Dr. Ireland just held up the folded paper and identified the language, saying he didn’t “read” it but would answer the question as he knew what it said anyway."
On 5/17/2010, a Carol Burek sent me this account: "Richard Ireland spoke to the Engineering Honor Society at ASU in Dec 1964 or early 1965. Without unfolding the paper, he called me by name and said, "Congratulations, you will have an October baby." I had been depressed, because about a week earlier I'd been told by a doctor that I would probably never be able to have children. Again, this was 1964-65, and our first child was born October 23, 1966. Our second child was born October 1, 1973!
This is an excellent entertainment.... but it's clearly just a show - with the stage voice, the blindfolding, the shuffling and holding handfulls of cards up to his head. Reminds me a bit of Peter Popoff and I suspect he is doing something similar. If the guy is psychic he wouldn't need his audiences to write stuff down on cards and pass them in. The cards and the collection of the cards are completely unnecessary. I don't know how he does it... but it's just a good trick.
@danbison I disagree. Different psychics read in different ways. He probably didn't *need* the cards. I feel like that was sort of the show's way to prove he wasn't lying. Because the show and the ENTIRE audience was able to vouch for the fact that the cards were blank when given to them, and only afterward, while handling the cards was he able to say what was written on them. Getting messages from the spirit world is like a person under water trying to talk to someone above water.
@tygersflowerz Nonesense. You've been fooled by a stage act. What you see in this video is schtick. It's a magic trick.... a good one, but just stage tricks. Don't fall for it.
@danbison Why is it so hard to believe? We all have an intuition don't we? Everyone can develop their sixth sense. Most of us won't be this talented, but why is it so hard to believe, really? I mean... it's similar to how everyone can feasably learn the piano, but not everyone is going to be Liberace.
@tygersflowerz I don't believe this is real for the same reasons YOU don't believe it's real when a rabbit is pulled out of a hat. Go through all the reasons you don't believe that and we've probably got the same list. Disbelief is the default position here.
@tygersflowerz I didn't say popular I said default. Skepticism is always the default position when an extraordinary claim is produced.... or do you just believe anything? You can believe what you wish, I will limit my beliefs to that which is indicated.
@danbison No, I don't. But I don't reach for ridiculous "logical explanations" like some people do, either. Like "he's seeing out his nostril." lmao... I'm open to the idea he could be telling the truth. Personally, my instinct says he is. My instinct also says certain other psychics are not...
@tygersflowerz Saying this guy is psychic is just as far fetched, if not more so, than saying he sees from his nostril. There's little reason or evidence to believe either. Cons, tricks and flim flam are all designed to use your instincts against you... otherwise these tricks wouldn't fool anyone.
p.s. I'd love to catch up with some of these people 42 years later. (Or their families, because I'm sure a couple of these older ladies are no longer living.)
@flunkycarter I will play. Of course u do realize what these implications would have. For example reading nuclear launch codes. answer this what colour is the paper? so many papers lying around be SPECIFIC. Identifiers that are SPECIFIC to that piece of paper. I don't mind giving it a shot, not as good as this guy in the vid though.
@Wolfsbane909 It's a white sheet of paper, I wrote something down on it. Tell me what I wrote. Simple as that. The sheet of paper is still sitting on my desk in an envelope and no psychic/remote viewer can tell me what it is.
@flunkycarter What specific piece of paper, specify. Oh phonebook has papers. Please specify your search question please. Just like looking for a book in the library u need a SPECIFIC call number, other wise u pull up a huge subsearch index, please be specific. That's like me going into library saying I want an book on "science"! science of what?
Pleae it in an marked specific envelope. or mark the paper itself with something specific. do u understand "SPECIFIC". speaky english MF?
@flunkycarter I also like to state that even this expert above has to hold onto and touch the envelope he is viewing, that SPECIFIC envelope in his hand. Keyword here is "SPECIFIC", think library search. If you're looking for a SPECIFIC book in the library u need a SPECIFIC call number, that call number is SPECIFIC to that one book in the entire library. If I wanted to hunt u, I find out your social insurance number & birthday, also last known location phone or cell #. just sayin..
@Wolfsbane909 Then do it, what's my birthday, location and last cell phone. I'll admit to you being right if you are. You still haven't told me what's in my envelope, and no one can, even if they touched it.
@flunkycarter why don't u go fuck yourself! WTF u think ur? U think I answer 2 the likes of u? What's in it 4 me?-FUCK ALL
WTF should I even given a flying fuck about ur opinion? Typical bullshit, buzz along fly.
Why should I even do anything 4 u? It's a two way street oh and btw ur mom is whore and ur a crack baby! So please swallow the business end of the shotgun and do me a favor and pull the trigger plz.
@Wolfsbane909 I'm not at all psychic, but I did see a similar response coming :-)
Your'e the one that accepted my challenge, you stated you would play along. You said you could tell me specifics about my birthday, ssn, etc... And your response is hostility and anger? Sheesh.
I can attest to the psychic's true ability as clairvoyant back then. I personally knew Richard Ireland, as did millions of others, and can say that he has helped people from all over the world with his incredible ability as a psychic. This video is just the tip of an ice-berg. He was allow to perform in Las Vegas hotels. But was forbidden by them to enter the gaming tables.
Someone posted and then immediately deleted a comment saying that my dad's abilities were the same as mentalist Derren Brown. I viewed Brown's clips and that is like saying that Pee Wee Herman and Jack Nicholson are both actors. I can't satisfy all skeptics but I know that my father's abilities were real. I saw him deliver specific messages to half the crowd in such settings. It was also part of our daily life and I have statements from scientists and others who tested him and were convinced.
Thanks for the positive feedback...my dad was a pretty amazing guy. A minor point of clarification about my interview -- it was on the "Skeptiko" (with a "K") podcast. Mark Ireland

i defy ANY psychic to read my mind. I wrote something down on a sheet of paper. if you guess what it is I'll be a believer. Anyone? Didn't think so.
