No, the foundation of Anarchy is individualist ideology, for communism is collectivism, they're opposites. your assertion that communism or socialism is the base of anarchism it's contradictory. Communism and Socialism sucks because they're inherently statist ideologies and Karl Marx is the first apologist of the state.
Socialism or Communism as a collectivist ideology that it is cannot exists unless there is a State enforcing it.
In anarchy, you and your neighbors can assemble together to live in a commune if that's what you wish, but there's no way you can force that lifestyle to everyone unless you have an authoritarian or democratic state.
In order that everyone adopts a communal way of life voluntarily anarchy needs to exists first, because if it's forced down people's throats then that's not anarchy
There's a difference between communism as explained by Karl Marx and the so called 'Communism' experienced in the former Sovjet Union, which will rather be called 'state capitalism'.
If you're an anarchist what on Earth are you doing promoting a Conservative statist running for the biggest seat of power on Earth? I am of course talking about the Ron Paul shirt.... not only is he a politician and power-hungry like any other presidential candidate... but he's a conservative! Yes, he is nicer and more sane than most of the other conservatives in that party, but still: he's a fricking conservative, ie a statist, ie the OPPOSITE of an anarchist.
of course he was wrong. Communism is plainly not feasible. Some power hungry asshole always has stepped in and fucked things over. there has never and probably will never be a true communist society. the capitalists will see to that if it isn't derailed by greed first. This is why i support socialism. there is a strong central government that exists purely to serve the people's needs and punish criminals.
Ok then, thank you for backing up your statements this time. it proves that you do know what you are talking about. so, 1. I do not take marx's words as infallible. in many ways he was just too idealistic. all i said in the first place was that the video's maker was wrong in his definitions of communism and socialism. I still want to know how you see a system without government as authoritarian. kinda...impossible?
Umm... Obviously you misstated that, because it sounds like you think i don't know what communism is. Tell me, how much marx have you read? How much do you know about REAL communism? I can answer that last one for you. The answer is... Absolutely nothing! Communism is about the idea of no government.
So you get to decide the end of the discussion? I have more questions for you! Have you ever read any Marx? If you look at the definition of communism, there IS NO STATE. Neither would there be class stratification. Communism and Socialism advocate the working class. Is this not a noble goal to you?
Also, I assume you are an anarchist? What type of anarchy? A basic "no state" society? Or a more complex version? If you think about it, communism is similar to anarchy in that respect, because there is no state in communism. So the only difference would be the idea that communism still follows the rule of law.
I would like to point out the flaws in your definition of socialism. You say that in socialism, the state is "forcing" equality. In reality, If a socialist state did arise, it would be by the people's demand and the people would be working for equality. No force would be needed.
So how would you take down slave pens such as China, Cuba, North Korea, Soviet Russia, and Iran? I would do so by the "magic" of lassiez-faire capitalism. I'm sure those wonderful governments would howl and threaten to attack me with their mighty armies. But if they were to do so they would be dashed apart like paper tiqers with my superior firepower.
Good points. I tend to emphasize natural "diversity" or "plurality" as a desirable kind of inequality. But you're correct that the state creates an artificial inequality of authority on a massive scale.
Franc28,
Good job in your youtube channel.

Are you proposing discrimination against people with wealth? If so on what basis?
Will an anarchist society not be essentially become a meritocracy based on voluntarism and a free market?

You basically repeated all the rhetoric used by commies, so what exactly do you expect me to answer? "Oh yea you're right, I was wrong all along"?

No, I was hoping you would answer my questions. Will you refuse this to me?

I am an Anarchist. I am against ALL forms of ruling classes, even if they pretend to be against the State. End of discussion.

Im in favour of having no state, but everyone will have to act with Kants Imperitive.
But alot of people arent moral so thats why we have a state.
Mike1977a1 4 years ago 2
The problem with the state is that it centralizes force in the hands of people that enjoy using force.
How is a state going to solve the problem if by its' very nature it attracts immoral people?
