@kzak104 i do it in my f150 all the time. my toyos hook up good without roasting, thats why i do it. little work to my 4.6l. k&n, hooker headers, chipped slightly, 2in drop, bilsteins, sway bar, and rebuilt with eagle crank, pistons, cam, arms, rockers, and valves. tuned to about 450, but can easily punch 500hp in the face. new tranny too, 5 speed w/performance clutch.

Is the launch achieved by holding the break and giving it enough just to spool turbo's? In the launch videos I see of this monster I see similar launches. Looks and sounds amazing. Seriously, Australia lacks cool trucks like these. Our "GM" subsidiary feeds us rebadged Daewoos or other takings I dare not go near. But these trucks - fast and useful too! I want it! Give it to me! :)

@m3tpuppet about .5 sec slower 0-60 and about .4 sec slower 1/4 mile,and thats with a 4.3 liter V6. with a few bolt ons a new SRT8 challenger wouldnt stand a chance,let alone a jeep haha. lemme put it this way,this guy I met with a Syclone(pickup brother of this SUV) took off the catalytic converter and put a PCM chip in it and it runs high 12s. theyre bad :)

No, they dont make them like they used to... Look Syclones up in Wiki and you'll see why they were canned so early into their run. Also, they dont have a 50/50 split... it's actually 70/30. Thats why they can spin their rear tires while still.

Would like to see the difference between a relatively stock Sy/Ty and one with some nice firm/stiff suspension on it on launch, the suspension in all the vids ive watched of these seem soft and squishy..

Softer suspension gives you more weight transfer and better traction. Firm/Stiff suspension actually hurts your launches because it can cause traction issues.

Well I can understand that to a degree, but traction has a lot more considerable factors to take into understanding when talking about traction, the vehicles particular drivetrain also has a lot to do with it. AWD in this case, a particularly soft weight transfer, especially as soft as I've seen in videos of sy/tys.. this one isn't so bad, but it really seems like a higher spring rate in the rear on these would provide less travel and deliver a firmer weight transfer without neglecting the front

I dont know anyone whos put stiffer springs and had it help on launches or help there times at the track, only helps with handling.
