I'm trying to view my video shoots from my camcorder to my laptop while on the road and is asking me to plug in my power adapter in order to view my shoots. Do you know how can get to view my video with out the power adapter. I don't want to be taking out my SD card all the time. Thank you.
Unfortunately you need the power in to transfer the footage. you can always view the video on the camera by hitting the preview play icon on the viewfinder. I do know, and I am upgrading, that the HF 100 i think it is allows you to transfer without the need of the power supply. Its touch screen too but it allows you to do more than you can with the 200. a bit bulkier but still good, the 200 has its flaws but every camera does.
hey im having frame rate issues with this camera and im having trouble finding the answer. when im recording and play the video back on the camera it looks fine, but when i import it onto my computer using the software it came with, the frame rate is horrible. i have only had this 1 day so far, and i've only shot indoors and at night so its all lamp lit. im really not sure what setting to put it on. any help would be appreciated. thank you.
Im thinking about buying this camera because i bought a Panasonic SDR-S26 and it has really bad quality! I was wondering if it would work with Final cut?
as long as you have the most recent version of final cut (final cut pro 7) it has a built in log and transfer option. you can also transfer from the camera through iMovie and import the video files to the program if it lacks that log and transfer option.
How does this camcorder do with catching faster moving objects? I am planning on getting a camcorder to film sports like soccer and english horse jumping. Thanks!
i would say check out SONY, Canon has great products but the lower end models such as this are not really used to catch high speed scenes like a baseball or something but with the horse this camera works damn well
What did you use to edit the footage? I've got one of these but my uploaded videos don't look as crisp. Maybe windows Movie Maker isn't as good as others? I'm new to this so I'm not sure..
title credit was done in iMovie as was the photo at the end but all video editing was done in FCP with simple fill gaps and cross dissolves to make the video look nicer.
Damn straight if you want to wait before you see the hq video i will post in my link to my vimeo page ok so add me and ill show you to the insight to hd video!

reindog107 1 year ago
it is built mainly for mac, it imports easily. just start imovie 09 first then connect the camera, it gets iffy if you connect it then run the app.
