Circumcision should be the choice of the individual, not their parents (especially since it's a permanent, medically unnecessary and painful surgury that the infant can't consent too). Actually, in the Old Testament, both Jewish men and women were stoned because of adultery (Deut. 22:22). Circumcision that began thousands of years ago for the Jews was beneficial to them. Hygiene was a whole different issue for everyone back then. Today, I really don't think that this issue of circumcision should be the greatest regret of any mother (like the one on the video). There is one interesting scenario that not many seem to think about. That's that if you leave a boy to grow up and then decide you're going to have a whole generation of 'intact' young men who won't feel the peer pressure to be cut. Actually, in the Old Testament, both Jewish men and women were stoned because of adultery (Deut. 22:22). Circumcision that began thousands of years ago for the Jews was beneficial to them. Hygiene was a whole different issue for everyone back then. Today, I really don't think that this issue of circumcision should be the greatest regret of any mother (like the one on the video). Honestly, if he's healthy, worry about raising an awesome and competent young man.

And the complications can be solved by antibiotics if infection, or non-cirurgical procedures for tight foreskin or even a cirurgy for correcting the tigh foreskin and not for mutilating it. That poor baby. Sadly, it didn't have to happen if the parents and doctors just left the poor baby's genitals alone. He would still be alive now if this barbaric practice wasn't perpetuated so ruthlessly. Those who are pro-circumcision probably think this is an acceptable loss.

Cavalier attitudes to gential sensitivity by those who are cut and had no choice reveal how willful ignorance is what perpetuates this form of child abuse. Cutting children and claiming to prevent unlikly diseases like penile cancer is not medicine it is quakery. The pushing of circumcision on Africans is a racist imposition in the long list of exploits now facing that continent.

People who who say they prefer circumcised, surgically abbreviated genitals should look carefully at how the culture they were raised within taught them to vilify the whole and natural version of what they desire. One's "culture" is very persuasive at teaching some very poisonous pedagogy; like racism, misogyny and sexual prejudice.

No, there are some facts, for example less penile cancer, less aids, and much more fun, believe me! :-)

Penile cancer... which happens to less than 1% of intact males anyway. Less Aids... only if you just look at Africa, not if you include industrialized countries as well (in which case you would have to draw the opposite conclusion). More fun... how so? That makes as much sense as saying you can see better with just one eye.

Well, even the WHO recommends circumcision and it does so not only to unindustrialized countries. And the difference in sex is like having it with or without condoms. Look at it this way: Circumcision protects and gives fun. What do you want more?

The WHO recommends circumcision where HIV is epidemic, specifically sub-Saharan Africa, and the reason they recommend it is as a last resort. This is because of the great lack of education in those areas, and men's refusal to wear condoms out of sheer ego. As for your analogy that sex with foreskin is like sex with a condom, it is pure bunk. There are no nerve endings in a condom. There are thousands in the foreskin. And it keeps the penis sensitive.

Wrong, WHO recommends it to every nation, please read it again. And believe me, foreskin is never as sensitive as the glans, especially bottom of it.

So then the thousands of sensitive nerve endings in the foreskin count for nothing then? Wrong! Cutting off the foreskin excludes one from having the full sexual experience.
