@davidpiksi i don't have a 360 actually but i think that you just need to disconnect your 360 completely from the internet if that didn't work then you really need's to update your xbox 360 frameware and the game it self if your 360 is modedd then you're out of luck buddy

in the ps3 you can play games by ignoring the updete screens for them but if you did that the console will disconnect it self from the internet where you can't use the online features until you turn the game off.

@fareedbakhit I'm not connected to the internet and I have a modded Xbox and a pirate version of the game , GOW 2 works just fine ( and almost every other game )

@davidpiksi in that case i don't know, a friend of mine also have a modded 360 and got the same thing i think with call of duty black ops even though his 360 is modded and have a pirate copy of that game it's still telling him to update his 360 to the latest version i think some games " mostly newer ones from early 2011 to 2012 " do that where even when it's pirated it's still got the update comes with it companies of those games did that to force ppl's to not modded there consoles.

@davidpiksi is there an option to get the update? cause sometimes whenever i get a new game it says that and i tell it to run the update, no connection to the internet, and it goes to a loading screen and when it finishes i can play the game. if its doing wat i think it is. i could be wrong, but it works for me.

@TheBlazingVenom no if hes using a 360, he needs a specific hardware that connects the TV to the computer (forgot its name ._.'') that will allow the computer to record whatever is displayed on the TV. You can't use a fraps on a television, unless you're using it as a second computer screen.

As far as the begining of 2 and 3, Gears 2 takes place about a year after 1 and gears 3 takes place a little over 2 years after Gears 2. The book Aspho Fields has events that happened years before Gears 1 and weeks after Gears 1. The book Jacinto's remnant takes place after Gears 2 so does Anvil Gate. And the book Coalition's End takes place months before and right before Gears 3 starts
