OMG! They do have the same beat in every song! Good God! They were the gayest band and I still love them! :) Seriously, that was some fun shit to dance to!!
@pav777tube Yes, except that American pop often wasn't as good as Ace of Base. Put it this way... if Ace of Base reunited (I know at least one of the girls left) and came out with a hit song today. I would much rather hear it than ANY current pop hits, I maintain that The Bridge is a great pop album, very catchy, very infectious, and harmonies all over the place. My favorite thing to do was to play those albums while playing Mario Kart 64. Try it, it fits with the game perfectly!
Scott Ian is such a billy badass satanist Tyler Durden wannabe. I mean, I like a few Anthrax songs, sure, but Ace of Bass deserves props too. The reason they were popular is because their sound defined the epoch of the '90s.
@AlucardsQuest Scott Ian seems like that kind of guy who's prone to alienating other people. He just emits this terminally combative vibe. Pantera could get "hostile" (heh) but they also knew how to party. A party's no fun if you alienate people.

@xoThatOneBitchox Only 4 of their songs have that beat, true 3 were on their first album, but the rest is straight dance stuff.

@IggyHazard And Anthrax during the 90s had alienated their fan-base... so maybe there was a bit of jealousy.
