The one hack I think would make SOM much better is to have the game run a cooldown with magic, just like when you attack it goes from 0% to 100%. magic should be the same way. Cannot cast a spell until its at 100%, and it doesn't begin counting until after the spell damages.
@Beastly242 oh no , the Hell Spike is another hack , I dont know if Masterflow made it public , there's only Blue Spike , he's much harder than the normal Blue Spike , but nowhere near Hell Spike
xD When I played Hard SoM the first time, I always died in the Upperland because the Silk Tails(!) were too strong and I had no money. 2 Month ago, when I started it again, I did not make the mistake to spend all my money on the Jabberwocky.^^
But you really do a good job here. I never killed a single "normal" enemy in the Mana Forest^^

yes , basically in Hard SoM you start being at ease with money at around Kakkara/Ice Country
as you can see I use a lot Status-altering Saber spells in this version of the game cuz normal enemies like Silktails can be fucking annoying sometimes
You could make another video of fighting in the mana fortress. I never fought those Terminators and Master Ninjas there. They kicked my ass every time^^ And Masterflow sure put the Ruby Armet somewhere there!

@Drewseph0011 this is true, this is what they tried to fix in Seiken Densetsu 3, by making spell charge and batch them along with enemy spells

yea I attempted fighting two bosses in a row while having wasted already half of the recovery items on the previous boss
which is pretty much useless in this version of the game since bosses have ridiculous HP and do huge damage with their attacks
